Hi Mary, many Europeans speak more than their native language, in the states we don't express the importance of being bilingual is, perhaps because these beautiful countries border each other so it would only make sense. Wow. Wow. I grew up in New York State u s a And we had lots of snow and ice skating too. Lots if skiing. So I understand your enthusiasm fior snow and winter. I'm never happier than when I'm in the mountains. In the 50 years since I first visited....they have never changed. Always towering over the village, strong and majestic. What a wonderful tradition to uphold with your family. My mother grew up around Salzburg, and when I was 6 we as a family spent 6 months living in Austria - it was a truly magical time for my 6 year old self. I was lucky to be able to go back a few times as an adult, when I lived in Germany for a little while. But I live in Australia and it is very different. Sometimes I am homesick for a lifestyle I’ve really never known. And other times I realise that I live in a truly exceptional country myself. I look forward to watching your next video. We get a lot of snow there it was One of the best times and so many memories of ice-skating and cross country skiing and tobogganing. Beautiful!!! You feel about the mountains like I feel about the ocean. My husband and I retired in 2022 and to a 55+ community in inland Florida, US. We returned for the first time since moving to Florida to our coastal home state Rhode Island, US this past spring for our grandson's high school graduation, and when I got my first whiff of salt air I actually started to cry because it brought back so many wonderful memories for me being in and on the ocean. Wow!! The hot-air balloons are so beautiful. I've been to a couple of hot-air balloon festivals where you could go up in one, but it's quite expensive. Never have had the courage to, however. It's an amazing and gorgeously serene place. I love snow, too. Right now we have about 8 inches or 0.22meters. I may be wrong about the conversion. Snow has a magical effect on everything.😮

My favorite video . I too love snow since spending most of my life in Florida. I now live in beautiful Colorado, however this year,we have had very little snow. I only have on complaint😊,the video was too short. I could have watched for hours. Understand you are on holiday and don't want to work but enjoy everything . Thanks for sharing . Thank you for bringing back some lovely memories. Our family skied together for years before my 4th child died, but we haven't skied together since. We taught all five of our children to ski. The youngest was 2 and skied with a harness. My oldest son used to teach the children's ski school at Bryan Head, UT, and later worked at Park City, UT.
