I have the borealis and I’m not happy. The part in contact with the back is too rigid and the shoulder straps too, so when you put a lot of load your shoulders hurt a lot after the travel… chacabuco seems a lot more flexible, go for it

I think suspended laptop slots really come into their own just from the rough way most of us set our packs on the ground; we don't have to actually drop the pack to hurt the laptop, just the average set-down is enough.

Borealis has far superior back panel and straps, as well as an additional external pocket. But I don’t like the full-mesh side pockets, as I worry they will stretch out over time. Chacabuco’s side pockets give more confidence as they are a combination of a solid and mesh fabrics. Also, Chacabuco is half the weight of Borealis (1lbs vs 2lbs), hence it has simpler back panel and straps.
