The island is beautiful, what a special gift from your dad. You may want to put metal support under the butcher block top, I have seen a few that bow or cup over time without being supported.

What a great memory you will have of your parents every time you use the island.

Nothing wrong with retro colors. What makes you happy is most important. Great gift from your parents. Also a nice piece for making good memories. I'm so glad you're done with the scaffolding. Hopefully no more heebie jeebies for Sarah.😊 Still proud of the way she overcame her fears and got up there when she needed to Wishing you nothing but great things going forward.

Nice piece, especially made with love by your dad. Adding another cabinet would balance the size of the counter top 😉♥️

Nice work! It's cool to see DIYer's getting it done. We started our build off grid last year and are working hard at it.

I love the pop of color(s)! It's needed against all the woodtone shiplap! Really coming together! 😊

That owl may like your shed but really likes the smorgasbord of chickens, rabbits and ducks. Keep them all safe while it is around. I think dad did a beautiful job on the island and the finish is awesome albeit brave.

Welcome back guys!! I missed you and only today l was thinking of making contact to see if you were ok!! Love the island bench! It’s like an upside down tree, green in the bottom and brown on top!! Your home is really coming along now. The exciting stage is finally here. You are able to set up the home how you want it. Please take some shots of the kids as they move into their rooms and how they set them up. I am so looking forward to seeing all the decor. You have a great idea with the colour palette. I must admit l am so excited for you all. Fancy all that space after being cooped up in a yurt and a caravan. You won’t know what to do with yourselves!! However then the real clean up begins outside. How are you going to get rid of all the extra bits and pieces you don’t need? Do you have rubbish collection or do you have to pay to get rid of it? Oh the joy you are going to get setting up the house and your land. By the way Congratulations on reaching this far. You so deserve all the praise you can get. You have definitely done yourselves proud. Have a pat on the back from me! Well l can now look forward to the next video as you take up residency. Take good care. Big hugs for you all. 👏🏻👏🏻🩷💜❤️🩵

I’m always surprised by the number of inspection that are required where you live. When we built in Scott county, TN, our only inspection was for the septic tanks. Of course that was many years ago and things may have changed, but pretty sure not many as you have.

Are you putting black tape or something on the end of the extractor fan pipe so it’s not silver by the ceiling?
@OneFootOfftheGrid3 ай бұрын
Yes, I’m going to mask that area off and paint it so it matches the rest of the pipe
