A Special Surprise for 1 Million Subscribers | Giving Back with 3D Printers!

I don't quite know how to say thank you. I get to wake up every morning and do one of the coolest jobs in the world. It's a pipe dream and it's all possible because of the support you have all given me! So for reaching this unreal milestone I wanted to highlight someone else doing something cool! And luckily Mr. Anderson had the answer!
After posting a fairly tame comment on a previous video where i was polling you all for ideas; A few emails and a phone call quickly spiraled into one of the best trips of my life. My videos are always about me (which is fair considering it's my channel haha) but for this video I wanted to show someone else doing something even cooler than anything I could hope to do.
And give back to them in a very special way.

First, it's incredible to see how quickly Dan went from "thank you so much for the printers" to figuring out how he could take the opportunity to bless other schools and students he may never know. What a class act guy. Secondly, I wish I knew you were going to be at SiuoxperCon. I would've made the 3 hour drive with my two boys (ages 7 and 5) to come say hi. As a teacher myself, I greatly appreciate what you did in this video. It's awesome to see hard working and creative educators get this kind of help. This is great! I was at a school with two random MakerGear printers and only two students who knew how to use them, including myself (not even the teacher to the fullest extent). We learned some 3D CAD stuff, but most of it, for me, was already self-taught prior. It is so cool to see a classroom setting like this especially where kids can do this kind of stuff at school and build interest with necessary tools at their disposal. Super cool, awesome to see you alongside a big company in the 3D-printing space, Elegoo, supporting education in this field! Having access to this stuff at a younger age is always more beneficial in the long-run from my experience. My brother and I, similarly to one of the projects mentioned, were able to 3D design/print and code a robotic "Thing" from the Adam's Family show "Wednesday" for our school's theatre play, so it was a very similar experience! Love seeing this aspect of engineering grow in schools!

I'm glad that you were able to use your years of 'trial & error' to create the world that you currently reside in..a world that MANY MANY people look to for inspiration. I wish I had the amazing tech of 3D printing when I was at school, we didn't even have CAD back then, all my design was done on a technical drawing table, my technology/electronics teacher did invent the upright kettle though, Mr Mayor! the best teacher I ever had! I just started teaching grade 9 computers this September and discovered the school had two Ender 3s that haven't been used in a few years. Since the start of the school year I've been working on getting them working again and have printed 2 Iron man helmets on the working one. I'm working on getting the second one running and starting up a club at lunchtime for making iron man helmets. I just finished my prototype and I could not have done it without your videos. I only discovered your videos because of this new project but they have been invaluable. Thank you for all the work you've done making this info so accessible!

I hope I can one day do this for my alumni high school. I was fortunate enough to take an intro to engineering course my sophomore year that actually got me into 3D printing. It’s truly magnificent what can be done with the world of 3D printing and I wish every high school in America had an IED or 3D printing course. I remember in my highschool one of the science teachers got a 3D printer and he had a class be able to design and print cell phone cases. Since he only had one printer he wanted to have them make something that could print quickly and also be something they could use. This was over 6 years ago so idk how that class is going now if he still has the printer or if he has more now. But it’s still so cool to see 3D printers in a school.

That is awesome Frank. I use an Anycubic Photon Mono to create small raffle prizes for charity motorcycle rides and do gifts for the special needs school my club visits. The reactions just from the small stuff I can make is so full filling words can't explain it. This hobby to me is about giving people an item that they cherish. Frank, you are using your platform for the greatest good. I worked at a high school in California and we had 2 Raise 3D and 4 Lulzbots. The kids are TOTALLY hyped when they can design, build and hold thing s that were in their imagination. The Auto Shop teacher has a KZbin channel and we would shoot videos of the things he was having the kids do. It is invaluable to have a video to refer to when learning/doing. Keep up the great work!
