How lucky your mother is to have her health. I am 80 and gardening was my great love since a child. Some years ago I got Sepsis and lost all balance and use of my feet. I am in bed unless my home help can take me out in a wheelchair. Weather permitting. I have to admit to being very envious of this lady. Long May she garden.

Dearest Carol ,I feel for you as I am in similar circumstances so I understand the frustrations of an avid gardener unable to move freely anymore . Now I get great joy looking at the garden I started over 30yrs ago and have mature trees to look at but oh dear no more raking Autumn leaves or planting out beloved seedlings .Now the joy comes from watching the native birds return ( I live in a small town by the sea in NewZealand ) to make their homes in the mature trees and eating the various fruit in season .I hope you have good things to look at to refresh your spirit .❤

It’s perfect timing to showcase your wonderful mother as it’s Mother’s Day this Sunday here in the States. My mom is the same age and unfortunately suffering from dementia. I have just come across this video today, 28:06:23, and MUST make a comment before I've even watched it! Mainly because my mother had a cousin called Googie, which is a rather unusual name and I'd never heard of another one until now. Our Googie's real name was Helen. She was also a keen gardener, for her 90th birthday she bought herself a new greenhouse! At 102 she moved into sheltered living but still went to the gym to tone her arms ... she said that she had to in order to be still able to put the rollers in her hair! She died just 30 days short of her 106th birthday. I hope your mother has an equally long and happy life. ❤

Wow I’m so impressed how healthy and agile she is . I recently went really hard and expanded my gardens and flowers i over did it and hurt myself bad and haven’t been able to hardly walk and my right hand is numb. I have an appointment today with the ortho dr hopefully I can get fixed back up so I can continue gardening. I’m only 63 so I’m so jealous and thrilled for you!!! Gardening is so relaxing and rewarding!!! Keep up the beautiful gardening

You classy thing Georgie and Googie in her party clothes,it’s made me realise if I get dressed up maybe my garden will proliferate too to look like both of your gardens Love that song too , I haven’t heard it for ages Love the season change videos with Googie - she has been very artistic in spots with her plantings and pots or fence shape . Very clever,had to laugh I’ve never planted potatoes either and want to give it a go. But I planted Jerusalem fartachokes in bulk and my friends would run away from my gift baskets , don’t plant more than one or you’ll regret it and maybe loose too many friends lol

Lovely Googie 🌻🥰... I am in Maryland, so it's nice to admire different types of plants. My Mother's Uncle Tatnall had a huge garden, packed into their suburban yard, and this experience reminds me of his garden. There was a hidden arbor swing, in a far corner behind his fruit trees and potting shed. I prefer gardens to Newscasts as well!!

What an amazing woman your mother is! So agile physically and mentally. Her garden is also very beautiful and I noticed she has some very original features i.e the fence, pavers and iron work (I’d love to know where she got those wonderful iron plant supports in the pots) Thank you for the tour.
