Yeah but the 2nd sister knew what she was getting. I would have made her sign a roommate agreement before the ex-felon sister moved in. Then had it reviewed by paralegal before allowing her to move in. With someone like her u need to document living arrangements. Also cover non-payment of rent. Unfortunately the sister left herself open to a lawsuit. All I can say hindsight is 20/20🤯🤦♀️

Judge Millian, I have always loved you from the moment I saw you the first time. I admire how you conduct your courtroom to the way you handle the litigants. You are extremely smart and also funny at times. But your quick wit and big heart make you a winner in my eyes. I always wished I could attend your courtroom sessions but never could, so this is the next best thing. I also like this 'after the verdict' session with your husband, he's so cute and I can tell he adores you. Thank you for being such a strong role model for these women, young and old. Totally agreed, Sharon! Judge Milian is one of my favourite people on TV. She is so sincere and genuine and seems to really care. I would love to sit down with her and share a bottle of wine and spend an evening talking. I have always wanted to go to see one of her show tapings. And yes, definitely agreed that the chats with her husband at the end are a great touch. They seem like a really wonderful couple. He had a heart attack last year and I hope that he's healthy now so they can have many more happy years together.

@@SpiffyPenguin She didn't deny it when her sister said she used heroin, and it's harder to get more powerful in terms of addiction and effects than heroin. There are much stronger and more addictive opioids, but heroin is definitely way up there. Crack addicts have very characteristic mannerisms (my best friend works in addiction and mental health issues) and I don't see her displaying them.

I simply don't understand why the defendant let her move in. She knew what what she like, she knew about the drugs and she knew about the felonies, which was why she didn't want her on the lease. They are both older ladies and set in their ways. Did she suddenly think the plaintiff was going to act morally and fair all of a sudden? I just don't understand why she was surprised. It was telling that the plaintiff had nobody to help her move. Where was her son? She has probably burned a lot of bridges but will continue with her destructive behaviour once she finds a new victim to latch onto.

A bias verdict she could have given her money for the illegal eviction. Plus she never said her sister was behind in rent only that the rent was a few days late. JM figured she should have busted her way in again but it could have turned into violence.

It's pretty obvious who's the "good guy" and who's the "bad guy" in this case. Defendant disputes plaintiff's claim that she had a computer in the first place.

@@mickm6309 Right? She said it was seven years old and had a "modem." Maybe she meant that she had internet service and a cable modem, but I haven't owned a computer with an actual modem in it since the late 90s.
