A Stór mo Chroí (Live in Buenos Aires)

This recording was made during a recent tour of Buenos Aires, during an impromptu session after a concert in "La Faustina" in Villa Crespo. The song itself is one I've been singing for manys the year, it was composed by Brian O'Higgins, one of the founding members of Sinn Féin. As far as I know it was written as a veiled message, a call to Irish abroad to return for the Easter rising in 1916. Incidentally, one of those that made the journey was a man from Buenos Aires, Eamon Bulfin. Eamon was chosen to raise the flag of the Irish Republic over the GPO in Dublin in Easter Week.
