Sister Souljah is the vessel. Mama Africa is what you're desperate for, and She lives in your own heart. Marcus Garvey. Amos Wilson. Claud Anderson. These 3 understand the one and only program that will liberate Black people. Embrace those that espouse their program. Reject those that refuse to hear. You and I, speaking here and now, are supposed to know that our dollars are combined and being concentrated to work in our national interest. We have yet to establish this kind of an economic ecosystem to give to our children to continue building.

I like Sista Souljah's presence. I respect her ability to present her opinions and idea's. Enough so that I have watched a number of her various presentations on KZbin. But I do have some points of interest. This Woman has chosen the European benchmark of 'articulation' using the 'English language', as opposed to encouraging African American people to learn and articulate themselves in African languages by 'African standards of articulation' in order to achieve traditionally African codes of conduct, living conditions, ideals etc. This Woman encourages the creation of systems, organisations and processes by and for African people, yet it appears that she is describing the reinvention, or outright direct use of European systems, organisational structuring an processes, rather than falling back on traditional African foundations. This Woman gives the 'White Great great Grandfather kills Black great great Grandfather... etc analogy and how a Black African person will be justified in utilising prejudices against White people based on historical calculated probabilities'. Which begs the question, are White people then also justified in utilising prejudices against Black African people due to their experienced or learned-of offences against White people by Black African people? This Woman states that it is not only wise, but imperative that Black African people know their enemy, and that White people are their enemy - in order for Black African people to survive, thrive and prosper. Does the same rule or code not then also apply to or for White people, who have witnessed this Black African American Woman (amongst many other influential Black activists) categorically state that White people are the enemy of Black African people - thus making Black people the enemy of White people and therefore giving justification to White people to further the protection of the survival of White people, by what ever means necessary? Or are White people expected to sit down and take what ever their enemy has in store for them? This Woman has made a great deal of money and achieved alot of fame by way of the predominantly White capitalist entertainment industry and appears to gage her successes by White standards with all the trappings of success that come with accumulating more money and power than others. Sista Souljah states that all living things originate from Africa and that all people come from African Woman's womb. Does that include White people? If so, would making White people the enemy of Black people be somewhat contradictory and a conundrum? My question to Black African people would be: Are you not simply substituting being manipulated by the so-called White System for that of being manipulated by Sista Souljah -who is using all the tools and methods used by the said White Systems front-Men/Women? Decades after Sista Souljah entered into activism, what has militant Black Power done for African American people? Things are either the same, or have gotten worse. Perhaps there is a lesson to be learned here? These are my observations and questions. No drama's or big deal.
@nzschado9 жыл бұрын
+I.N. Turrner Well than you for your reply. However I'm not entirely sure that you read my post in it's entirety. Or maybe you simply didn't comprehend what it was that I was saying. Point 1: I'm not saying that her use of the English language renders her message ineffective. Quite obviously her message has an effect on yourself and other African-American people. My point there was that, after the very many years that she has been an activist/advocate for African-American people yet it does not appear that she uses nor encourages Black people to use their own African-American languages. If I were an African-American in her shoes, the first thing I would be doing is reverting to or learning my own language. You're hardly going to achieve 'Power to the people' if you can only fight back using the tools that your enemy give you. Point 2: If you were born in America then you are American. Being of African descent is secondary, and IMO should be a personal/private/family affair. Not one that should be waved about as a divisional flag. Point 3: Whites did not create the concept of race. They merely created a descriptive word in language. As they have for millions of things. There are often clear visual differences between peoples. Creating a word/name/title relating to this was an intelligent thing to do for progress in communication. Prejudice and racism is all a REACTION. If a non-racist White person walks into some Black area's he/she won't be protected by some invisible shield. They will still be set upon because they are White. That is clearly racist on the part of the Black people in that neighbourhood. Getting the shit kicked out of you and being robbed hardly compares to Black people 'feeling unwelcome' in neighbourhoods in which White people choose to live along side their own (as do Black, Brown, Yellow people). I'd rather be leered at than shot at. Of course, ideally, none of it would happen. Point 4: You are correct I don't KNOW her net wealth. But I have read that she is a paid speaker, and that she does jet-set all around America (and more). Activists and public figures are, more often than not, paid to go on TV and radio shows. And she has been on her fair share of them. Are you telling me that she hasn't made a good living from her activist related public/media speaking? Point 5: Are you suggesting that the only way that Black and non Black people will ever be able to live together harmoniously is if Black people can first get revenge for all past real and perceived wrong-doings against Black? What else do you think White's should do in order to achieve such a peace? Point 6: I'm a New Zealander and I have a light complexion which an American would label as being White. What collective history might you be talking about? No generation of my family have ever done anything negative to Black people, yet I would still be set upon if I chose to stroll down a street in any number of Black neighbourhoods in America. Why? Cos I'm White. That is RACISM. So much so, that people on the other side of the world know about it. Point 7: As I asked before above, what is it that Black people expect/want White people to do to finally achieve equality and peace? If you think that White people will accept some sort of PAYBACK using violence or property/wealth transference from White people to Black people, then you will find that you have a civil war on your hands. One that I very much doubt that Black Americans would win. If there even could be a winner. I have friends all over the world. I cringe to simply say that I have African-American friends as well as people of Colour from various other nations because you are likely to turn it around on me and say that they are either 'token Black friends' or I just have them so that I can say I have them etc. IMO all American's have much bigger problems than this business of race. Reining in the corrupt and extremely evil government who threatens the continued existence of mankind might be a better place to start. ps: You'd be welcome to come have dinner at my place. Two rules. Don't call me a White person, just call me a 'person'. And you'd have to help with the dishes afterwards :)
