Man...she needs more time on major platforms. I have never heard anyone say, "the men are no longer in love with the women, and women are not in love with the men. It makes us a group of individuals"....whoa...that is deep and hits the most bare bone issue today

Im so lucky to have experienced this woman in her prime. I was only in first grade, but my dad made me watch her and listen to her music along with many others. Her voice is truth. Unfiltered, confident, and eloquent truth. I hope her platform opens wider and her voice reaches the masses as it once did! She is a queen!

This was a fantastic interview. It was poignant and heartfelt and very moving. It touched my soul. I love the fact that the interviewers were patient and asked questions that were important. Each question gave Sister Souljah an opportunity to really expound on the issues she was knowledgeable about and to provide historical reference which is beneficial for all. She was also given time to present a portion of her own very interesting personal story and her opinions on today's political movements and the civil unrest around the country and in the communities in which people make their homes. I applaud the interviewers for not interrupting her during the course of her commentary. I see that happen again and again on various programs where people are being interviewed and never really get to completely make their presentation because the interviewer lacks the common decency to let the person being interviewed finish their thought or comment. That was not the case here. Well done and very professional. Thank you very much to Sister Souljah and the Hosts at Hot 97 for an extremely insightful and informative interview!

No need for the "black and latino" plug all the time, Ebro... if we're having a conversation specifically about black men, women, and children, let's have THAT conversation.
@TravelwithRia928 жыл бұрын
+King Sis exactly I agree with you
@iamkingsis8 жыл бұрын
+Matt Hall yes minorities, but with very different and specific histories which created the very different and specific psychological and social problems that we see today. This convo was not about general minority struggles in America, it was about the specific issues facing black men women & children in and 90s and today.

What about the many latinos of African ancestry?
@iamkingsis8 жыл бұрын
+TaelurAlexis there are many ethnicities with african ancestry. "Black" is a race of people, not an ethnicity, and believe it or not, the race label word "black" already includes all people of african decent including some dominicans, Haitians, west indians, native americans, aborigines etc without needing to separately call out specific ethnicities or nationalities. In that case, it's redundant.

DO YOU AGREE WITH SISTA SOULJAH? I don't really feel the love, and the love is the glue that holds any movement together. There's been a mood change in the community. I think the men are not, any longer, in love with the women, and the women are not in love with the men, and the parents are sick of their children, and the children are sick of their parents. It's a very mean mood in the atmosphere, and that kinda makes us a group of individuals instead of a family. I AGREE WITH SISTA SOULJAH.
