I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.
Also I should give full credit to my cat, Claudio, for the frequent background meows and purring sounds you hear throughout.

Hearing 3 different versions of the same story about Joff and the cat is so great. Robert tells Ned about it and says Cersi threatened him if he were to ever hit Joff again. We hear it from Cersi as if the cat was some fly getting squished. Some little business with a cat is how she put it. Then lastly with Stannis.

Awesome Edrick Storm ⛈ Stannis is hilarious. Weddings have become more dangerous than battles. Haha I wish I was there to see Stannis’ face when Robert hit Goff “so hard I thought he’d killed him.” 😂

Edrick Storm being wist away from Dragon stone with 4 loyal men is definitely meant to mirror Viserys when he was child leaving Dragon stone .

Yeah, Jon and Davos always brim my mind with hope that there are true good characters in this story, not grey but real good regardless of whatever Martin or many of the other readers say. I always find myself rooting for the two of them. Can't say anything for Jon but I think Davos is gonna survive the series. (that is if it ever comes 🥺🥺)

@@alrabbi6194 for me it’s Jon, Dave and Dany. They all want to do the right thing by everyone. We’ve seen them all put everyone’s needs before any of they’re wants. they don’t ignore the helpless like we’ve seen the rest of the cast do.

I am excited to hear where this goes. I read the books back in highschool, and then watched the show last year. I don't remember why Davos really wanted to Stannis to make the move to the North like he did. I always thought Stannis would be the best king-- if he could save the kingdom from the Others. "Do his duty" as they say. Gosh. I feel like the stone dragon has to do with his daughter in some way. Ahhhh it's like a whole new book series to me at this point. Thank you!

Dumb question, but did Maester Pylos help with this scheme because the citadel hates magic?

I don't think so. I mean, I guess it's possible, but in the Clash prologue, we spend time in the head of a maester who wants to stop melissandre and never once thinks of some duty to a maesterly anti-magic conspiracy; he's just worried about Stannis, whom he loves like a parent. Pylos seems like a nice guy who cares about the kids in his care and wouldn't wish to see one of them burned alive for no good reason.

I’m sure Pylos was told a few things. He might be more loyal now like Lewin seemed to have grown more loyal. Though maybe too loyal to Cat and not loyal enough to Ned.

No. Edric wasn't in GoT as you know, but the writers gave his "king's blood" plot to Gendry, just changed it a bit.
