Yupp. My mom gave me the talk about predators when I was really young, (like as soon as I was able to understand her words), and even reminded me about it relatively often. Because of that when I had a creepy dude try to lure me to his apartment when I was like 6-7ish, I knew to tell him no and get somewhere safe ASAP. She even taught me a question to ask anyone if they said that my mom sent them (I'd ask them a question only my immediate family knew, and not one you can guess the answer to easily). She told me that it was sad and gross that she even had to teach me this stuff, but it was necessary

@@strangekitty2505I was sexually abused as a child and never told anyone til I was in my 20s. So when I had children, especially my daughter, I had the talk with her quite often as she grew older. She is 13 now and has a sort of obsession with all those things. In my trying to keep her safe it feels like I opened up a world full of fears.

@@kalmingkhaos5932my mom did that too, but she was very descriptive about the ways people would want to hurt me. Stranger danger is one thing, but all the sick details just made me an incredibly paranoid child. I thought someone was going to come home wearing my mom's skin or something, she just shared the darkness without being very comforting. Probably because she was never comforted about her experiences. She's an abrasive person haha

😳 After I had my first child, I was filled with anxiety by just thinking about someone else babysitting my little girl. I kept remembering how mean my old babysitter was to me and my brother while my parents went to work. So I decided to get a job at her (My daughter) daycare. Things have changed now, but back then, in order to be a daycare teacher, you had to take 12 hours, each year, of childcare provider classes. Those classes weren't only helpful for my job, but as a mother to my own children. They cover everything from how to age appropriately talk to your child about abuse, stranger danger, and things I would've have thought to either talk about or observe. The main thing I really liked from those classes was how to explain dangerous situations in an age appropriate way. It helped not only me, but my daughter and later, my other children, understand better. ❤

Whenever someone goes through what the girl in the first story went through it always makes me so angry that either nobody’s around to help or the ppl around don’t do anything and literally just stand around watching so it made me beyond happy when I heard that those 2 men stepped in to help and when he said they threw him in the pack of the pickup and drove off I had the biggest smile on my face and I absolutely love those 2 guys whoever they r

There is nothing worse than a parent disbelieving a child who has been preyed upon. It happened to me three times and I was called a liar and that I was just trying to get attention. To this very day I am scarred by those events and the total insecurity and fear I felt when instead of being comforted and believed. I was in my young teens, I am 62 years old now, but its damage I carry always.

It happened to me at 9 years old. I hid behind my older sister while she told our mom for me. I was too afraid to speak out. Our mom called us liars. Then screamed are you trying to tear our family apart? (Perp was her brother in law.) She called me, a NINE year old, a whore & a liar. I ran upstairs to the bedroom I shared with my sister and cried until I fell asleep. I lost respect for mom that day. PTSD sucks! I feel for you. ❤

What IS sad about the woman, baby and the "businessman" is that even if he meant no harm, other men have made women become this frightened of strangers. I believe there are more predators out there than there are men of no harm. It's the way things are these days and getting steadily worse. Truly tragic that there is zero trust now.

@@mateusz2684 my point was that its no wonder, since men have been ramping up their attacks on women. Its not her fault at all. Nothing silly about the story. It's just an example of the sad state of our world that this has become the norm. Blame the predators, not the woman for being afraid, especially with a newborn baby.

I remember when I was 8 I went to the park down the street. Some guy in a golden tan or gold brown color corolla pulled up and held a gun towards me and told me to get it. I ran the opposite direction and he took awhile to turn around. I had to hide inside these bushes...I think they are called holly bushes? They have small red berries and their leaves are shiny with sharp points. He kept circling around trying to find me. Finally what felt like forever he left..ran home and told my mom. She yelled at me telling me to stop lying and that I have a imagination. Ugh I'm traumatized more about that stupid bush...made me itch like crazy and stung so bad. The story about the dude stationed at Ft Hood Texas doesn’t realize how lucky he is to be alive, and I am surprised he was so candid about what he experienced there, and making his identity not hard to find out if his superiors pursued it. What most people are unaware of is that Ft Hood has a really dark history with lots of secrets kept from the public. There is a very high # of questionable deaths and missing soldiers from that base, and in Killeen Texas. Reports of tunnels and child trafficking and snuff films . Child sacrifice reported at the base. Soldier witness accounts and obvious moral rejection seemed to end up with that soldier dying mysteriously or disappearing without a trace. Ft Hood is part of the MK ultra program, meaning those stationed there are un knowing participants in the program as far as I know. I could be wrong on being a voluntary participant or not. What this guy went through sounds right with how they were treated. Part of that mk ultra to be made to stay in condemned barracks. Finding stuff in a flooded basement too. Had they kept looking they would have soon found the tunnels. They would have never made it off of that base if they had. Very guarded.

The last story, I am guessing that the parents never told OP to not talk to strangers. And I mean thinking it's okay that some stranger asked you to take off your top? how can he or she not even see how much of a creepy perve he was? I'm glad that the story didn't get any worse but seriously, it's like common sense to not strip for strangers if you are not being paid for it. And I think it was story 6, where the kid went running out to their mom to go to the store but she wasn't their and there was some older kid rollerblading and they snuck into OP's home. It really frustrates me when parents don't believe their kids. It really makes me wonder when a parent says they don't believe their child when something horrible happens to them that their kid actually grows to resent their parents.

😍💭 There are parenting and childcare provider books out there to help explain stranger danger at age appopriate moments. They help both, explaining what you're trying to say to a 4 yr old..an 8 yr old..an 11 yr old.. And also help the child understand the instructions they're being given.❤

The guy in the thumbnail, he just wants to show the kid around Jurassic Park. Nothing sinister about that.

The woman in the dealership story with the nature walk was stupid ‘Oh no! A man listening in his phone dressed in suit pants! Oh no the man again on the same trail he was walking before! I’m in danger!’ Sounds like she’s mentally I’ll
