It would be nice to have more stories from a male perspective, particularly at a time when men in general are being maligned in the era of the independent woman. I would hope for more balance from a channel like this. Maybe you could argue more women write stories like this on Reddit but your choices seem cherry picked and lean heavily towards the female voice. If it was the other way around (mostly male voice stories), you’d no doubt be criticised. I’m only asking for equality.

My family raised horses (and still do ) my entire life. In the story talking about the ponies getting so worked up for no reason I immediately thought of something that happened to me and my parents riding once in an area we lived and had rode so so many times before. We lived next to a marina and the road looped around back to our house there so it was the halfway mark in this ride. All the horses acted scared and weirdly skiddish the entire time we were close to the marina and boats. No idea at first why till later. Turns out in one of the house boats at the end of one of the docks permanent lodging slots a man had died. Idk how but the horses knew. They just knew. Might be what the ponies knew too so quickly in the woods.

I do enjoy your narrations. And as gripping as they are, they're mostly very serious. (Seriously scary, seriously sad, etc..) so every now and then after reading, when you're saying goodbye to your listeners you say something odd that will catch me off guard and possibly make me giggle. This time you got me good. Its 2:20 am, im the only 1 awake here and you've got me laughing out loud, I caught myself, but a few seconds later im laughing out loud again 2 more times. Thank you Joel. I have a funny story about a guy jumping into our car. He yanked open the door, jumped in the driver's seat turned to look at me only to see two feet hit him square in the face with enough force to send him flying out the door since he had not shut it yet. I'm tiny and this really did help to get my feet up enough to do the kick.. Dude lands on his back on the sidewalk, blood all over his face and people standing around. Just the my now ex comes out of the bank, sees the scene and helps the guy up. I started yelling that he just tried to steal the car with me in it. Only to get told wtf did I do as he was a work mate of his. LOL

1 min in, I sadly live in the city with a lot of stores very close and my kids love the gas satiation. It’s not sad. For a kid it’s exciting and so many awesome treats! Idk to a kid a grocery store had “healthy food” gas station means {treats, candy, slushes, ect} it’s more snack less “healthy parent” food if that makes sense
