A stray kitten's first visit to the four senior cats room.

Cute kitten Maya went to the cats room where four senior cats lives.
About 3 weeks after his birth, I decided to start training Maya for socialize him in the cats room where the other cats lives.
I took about one hour a day for the training while watching the state of the cats.
Maya was lefted after 1 day from his birth.This is a record of his current growth from artificial nursing.
All revenues such as advertisements will be used for activities for rescued cats.

When i got my first kitten the opposite thing happened. We had an older cat that we bought as an adult and who had major issues with his temper. He could attack you all of a sudden for no apparent reason. In all likelyhood he was abused by his former owners. But as soon as we got that kitten, the older cat made a 180. He turned into this overprotective surogat mom. He could lick him for hours and they slept together every day. If the kitten left the appartment he would also get overcome with worry. Theyre friendship basically endured for theyre entire lives.

That kitten is really tiny. He doesn't look old enough to be away from his mother yet. We've never had any trouble introducing a kitten to the resident cats. I think adults are more accepting of a kitten than another full grown cat. The black kitty seems the most receptive.

As cute as the kitten is, this is not how you intoduce any age cat to another. Do not take advice from this youtube video on integrating a new cat into a home of other cats. Look up Cole and Marmalade: A great channel for cat owners to learn how to take care of their cats properly.

First of all, that kitten is way too young to interact with the older cats, it's eyes look like they've only been open for a few days, the kitten looks like it's barely 3 weeks old. I doubt that they were used to the kittens scent at all. To introduce new cats to each other you have to keep them separated then you touch one cat to get their scent then touch the other to do this constantly for a few days to a few weeks little by little then to visually introduce the cats by a barrier like a gate or pet carrier.

It’s a territorial thing with the older cats. Typically if you introduce a new cat to a home that already has one they will hate each other for the first few weeks then eventually warm up. We’ve only had one exception to that and that was because the kitten kept wanting to play when the older cat didn’t. But here’s a good one, our cats once took in a stray pregnant cat themselves. It started hanging around, sleeping in the yard, and eating the food until it had its kittens. We didn’t even know the cat was pregnant, we figured it was just homeless because that cat was pretty young and small herself.... but that cat was practically living in our yard and our cats were perfectly fine with it.

This was how my cats behaved when a two week old kitten strayed into my garden. Don’t worry the adults will not attack the baby ; they just hiss and move away. My cats didn’t go in to the garden till the kitten was taken in. In the cat world, those babies are considered old enough to venture in the world. The adult cats treat them as strangers who are not part of their family. But when you take them in and slowly introduce them day by day ; the adults will start to acquaint with the kitten and one of them at least will nurture it
