I am so happy this channel exists! That other one too, I am just so grateful for all of this content Ian, I'm currently having a rough time due to the time of year and well, the consequences of my own choices as well; having a place like this to come and just escape for awhile into another world is a very precious gift, thank you!!!

Awesome! I know a lot of people are sort of down on them, but I love the dreamlands stories. ‘The Strange High House in the Mist’ and ‘The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath’ are two of my favourite Lovecraft stories. Thanks again for your channels and great narration.

They've taken time to grow on me, but I do like them now. Sometimes more than his Yogsothothery. He seems more at his ease.

I love these stories, this is a great compilation. I like the choice to omit the Randolph Carter stories - they are some of my favorites as well, but it’s nice to just have the short ones collected like this.

I'll be re-recording those latter Carter stories in due course.

@@sub-jec-tivHaving worked with Ian as an author, I can say he is lovely, but already incurably insane. SAN loss doesn't apply.

Poetic writing. Too bad he hated us poor dark folk
@Tom-sd9jb11 күн бұрын
I imagine his abject terror of the unknown, the different and the mysterious fed or created his hate and racism. It's funny how he and Howard were buddies - one a fighty man who secretly wished for barbarism and the other a complete coward 🤣 Thanks for being cool and not trying to cancel/have Lovecraft's stuff censored or sensitivity read because it is exactly his irrational fear that makes his work so good.

“ us poor dark folk” . 🤗Hey Jason! Sorry you feel uncomfortable about some no no words in the distance past. Wow, you must catch heck in the hood for having such a cracker first name and then miraculously be part of the 2% of colored people with the family name of Surrette. Is that of the Nigerian Surrettes? Seeing how most of them are alabaster toned people from Essex. Incredible too your interest in nerdy 100 year old fantasy stories. What an amazing statistical anomaly and totally not a woke bot virtue signaling on a rather obscure ( though brilliant) literary channel. Truly we are blessed with your diverse and vibrant presence. Welcome!

@@FantasyBabblemy witty and sarcastic response to our poor dark friend Jason as an obvious troll was predictably erased. I would like to think it was youscube but I understand if the channel, forced to exist in a psychotically suicidal country, would have to deny even humorous reality for self preservation. “Nameless horror” has new meaning in an age of gibbering idiot censors
