My only problem with it(other than the weird bezel like he mentioned) is the fact it used a combination of a old processor and less than a gig of ram. I think I had the second gen one and it still had that same issue iirc. With v3 of wear os around the corner I'm tempted to switch to the ticwatch pro 3 gps. The low powered secondary display is the best idea it doesn't seem like everyone else is copying just yet, along with the gb of ram and the wear 4100 cpu it feels like no one else is trying in quite the same way XD

No smartwatch has ever matched the design of the original Moto 360 imo. That beautifully minimalist design with no lugs for the straps was just wonderful. (Though, that aspect wasn't convenient or durable...) I ended up very carefully sanding and hand polishing my black one to a mirror finish, wish I still had it. Looked absolutely stunning. Same. My cognac band finally bit the dust, so I had to swap to the gray suede one I originally wanted to keep for posterity (Had an early version I got from a Moto employee in NC before they swapped to the taupe-ish band). The one-day battery life is brutal, but the dock is easy to deal with, and all I really care about are the notifications, and ability to use it to track down my phone when it vanishes. 🤣 The 360 Gen 1 was a visually simple yet inspired, technologically hamstrung yet splendid piece of tech for its day. That it's relevant at all and STILL finds its way onto my wrist and those of others speaks volumes about how special it was. And remains... There's literally nothing I've seen that I'd want to replace it with, short of *maybe* a Heuer Connected, but that's fantasy land. And if I'm buying a Tag, it's going to be a Gulf Edition Cal 11 Monaco. The OG 360 is still the standard by which I measure any smartwatch, "Flat tire" nonsense or otherwise. As for this remake? My feelings are very mixed, especially at that price point. We'll see I guess. OG 360 crew represent. Cheers!

I had a Gear S3 Classic. It was the second smart watch I bought. The first one was a moto 360 2nd gen, which I am wearing right know. I have had the moto on my wrist for the better part of 4 years and am still wearing it every day! The S3 I had for about 2.5 years. At the beginning I hated the way I handelt notifications but that has been fixed. The S3 was a nice watch but apart from the battery life I have always preferred the moto. This caused me to wear the S3 for maybe a month in total in the last year (I sold the watch about 2 weeks ago). It worked fine as long as I had my galaxy S7 but after I switched to the Nokia 9 Pureview it was a disaster. Those two just didn't played well together so I soled the S3. Unfortunately the battery of my moto is, well as you expect from a 4 year old Android wear smartwatch. It works as long as I don't go to bed to late. So I am looking for a nice edition to my 2nd gen moto and I am disappointed from this new "3rd gen". Compared to my 2nd gen the design looks outdated. The sole reason for that is this ugly black circle. In my (probably very unpopular) opinion the flat tire design of my 2nd gen looks way better. If this 3rd gen wouldn't have this circle I would probably buy it immediately. The flat tire is actually not that noticeable. I don't understand why seemingly everyone hats it so much. This is just my opinion and I am well aware, that wear os is not suitable for most people. For most people that have a Samsung phone a Tizen watch is the better choice. If you don't have a Samsung phone it is a pain in the a.. to set up everything correctly and I really hated the store.

Somehow this thing had never been set up and still had the protective film on it 5 years after it was released. When I got it home, I found out why it was at the store, since it just bootlooped and flashed the M logo while on the charger. After a couple weeks and another $35 for a battery and a knock off replacement back panel(stupid me broke the only part that I couldn't find one) I had a basically brand new Moto 360... with a broken button :/ Still functions perfectly though, thank God setting it on the charger is an alternative way to power the watch back on. Even though the thing is damn near 6 years old now and the outdated Android Wear absolutely sucks, it's still a really eye catching watch that I don't have to charge everyday and since it's a nice conversation starter for people who are tech savvy and know what it is, and for people who aren't and are wondering what the hell it is since it's not an Apple Watch/Fitbit/Samsung Gear/Galaxy watch.

Something I would like to see in smartwatch reviews how hard it is to replace the battery... I've had a few smart watches now, and I have found some make it easy and some make it virtually impossible. since the things are $300 and those batteries typically only last about a year before they start dramatically decreasing in life... It is definitely something I would like to know before purchase. Just an example from my experience the Asus zenwatch 3 makes it extremely easy to change the battery you unscrew the back take it off the batteries right there put a new one in you're done in 30 seconds. My ticwatch pro on the other hand you have to undo several ribbon cables take out the entire guts and even then the battery is sandwiched between the motherboard and a plastic housing that seem to be nearly fused together to get them apart you would have to destroying it.

Moto 360 1st and 2nd nailed the bezel edge. The best in history true full face display. Everything out has the black ring between the display and bezel

It is incredibly beautiful. Holy shit! It just needed to be a little slimmer.

I had the 360 Gen II. When I bought a Samsung S3 Frontier I unceremoniously (shame on me) put the 360 on its charger and subsequently forgot about it. A month or so later I went to check it and it was displaying a half-screen of digital gibberish. I felt so low at that point for having just cast-off something which had served me well for over 18 months. Hardly a week goes by where I don't want to kick myself for neglecting that watch.

What's the watch face at 2:17?

Why don't the manufacturer's put the battery in the strap? There's so much wasted space there and it would make the actual watch less chunky.

I loved my Moto 360 2nd Gen, but i never really enjoyed using WearOS. I think Tizen is much better right now, and i use my Galaxy Watch Active2 on a daily basis. Best smartwatch i have ever used.

I loved my Moto 360 till the battery died at the end my 2 year warranty. I got my full purchase price back because they didn't sell it anymore.
