Recently discovered your great desert adventures and loving them. I'm an old desert rat that lived in the Apple Valley, Victorville, Hesperia and Wrightwood area of the Mojave for sixteen years. In 1969 Deep Creek hot springs was a well kept secret for us hippie types. This all changed when Silverwood Lake was opened in 1972 and people who visited it found their way to the hot springs. Visited the old Mojave last year and still consider myself an old desert rat. Keep doing what you're doing, thanks.

Hi Diane, my son and I went down there about 10 years ago, would love to go back. The guy up top I believe charged us $10 to park and we could walk down.

Gotta be careful in that area when there's lightning... It's extremely prone to big fires.

There is a problem I have. I like to enjoy Mother Nature with as few People as Possible. I go out to wilderness, to find peace, calm, and beauty.
