A Sunday morning walkabout in the garden, enjoy!

Always love to walk in the morning. When I was a child, I seldom did that, as I loved sleep, a lazy bone like many others of my age then. But now I take it as an everyday routine, not that I have to wake up early due to work, but everything in the morning is like new and refreshing. I pay attention to the trees, shrubs, blooms, little insects and birds as long as I chance to see them on my way to office. Love your vid, Mag!

I'm thrilled you could join me on my walkabout. The health benefit of just stepping outside into your garden is immeasurable, to connect with nature; birds visiting and bathing in the ponds, dragonflies darting here and there, bees buzzing as they gorge themselves on nectar, and come sunset the bats fly in and out. I just got back in from a morning of watering and watching hummingbird flutter around as well. I was in my greenhouse (16x16x12) and playing with the orchids. I had to move a Phalaenopsis gigantea from a pot to a sturdy hickory mount. You have a great yard. One of my three Titan Arums did just peak out this morning after a long winter rest. Sooo cool to see someone growing Thistle. You put it in your garden here in the States and folks are like "you put in weeds?", and then you have to educate them.

I know, everyone thinks of thistles as weeds, but over the passed couple of years or more, we have come to love and appreciate them. They are a good deterrent for those who might venture too far into our garden! Happy growing J C and enjoy those wonderful humming birds.

Thanks Pip, the only drawback now is, it's too darn hot to sit outside. More rain is needed, lots of it!

I just woke up not long ago myself, how nice for a change I get to have coffee in your garden but on my back porch. It's dreadfully hot here, I'm done in the yard after 10 am.

You're very welcome to join me Todd having your morning coffee. I'm sat inside, it's 21c indoors, having my first coffee. The heat of a Florida summer, brutal it its intensity, best place inside for us who have health issues. I'm going through the screening process to see if I'm healthy enough to join the Mariposa-2 trial, next 3 weeks I'll undergo every test there is, but the health benefit will be worth it.
