Hello Josie! It's lovely to see you and Charlie investing time into your health :) I may be too dramatic, but I hope this new relationship with food won't lead you or encourage your followers into orthorexia. Actually, this is coming from someone who had to work through orthorexia and I was very happy to see you enjoy any food you desire to eat, without labelling as "clean" or "nasty". I do understand that your intention is to just share some interesting things to share in your vlog :)

You Tube is not the place to listen to what is good or bad ingredients for you or information like if a product has no expiration date it is bad. Sorry but unless the information comes from a nutritionist or other professional that is familiar with products and their ingredients please either do your own research or speak with a professional. You don’t want or need to include or exclude a product or ingredient without knowing why. Hi Josie and Charlie! So lovely to see you both. The layout for your drawing room is wonderful. You might consider a console table behind the sofa, as it fills the gap and also allows you to add personal touches such as beautifully framed photos of you and your family. Just a thought. Love the couches flanking the fireplace, I love Charlie’s humble spirit, admitting that he had wished he would have listened to you regarding the placement of the couches. One suggestion for the dead space behind the sofa ,perhaps a simple narrow sofa table would work well behind the couch,it would fill the gap as well as allowing you to place a lamp or other table embellishments…. Love you and charlie and the boys.❤

What a beautiful room with that gorgeous paneling and fireplace! If you don’t need the space behind the sofa as a walkway from room to room, you might put a narrow sofa table behind with a lamp to add even more warmth and use ability.

You need oil to make oat milk frothy as it emulsifies. Oatley uses rapeseed oil (which you will find in almost all processed products and condiments, its everywhere) That's why cashew nuts being fatty also contribute to froth, though you'd need to add significantly more and most all nuts are mouldy and contain mycotoxins and are hard on the gut, unless soaked for a significant length of time. I make my own milk in my vitamix blendernwith filtered water (always filtered, tap water is full of pollutants) pink Himalayan salt (rich in minerals) vanilla bean or cinnamon for natural sweetness (and blood sugar balance) and find it easier to get a creamier consistency through the nut mylk bag. Keeps 3 days in the fridge xx

The not going out of date thing isn't about what's in the item, it's more about the way it's packaged. I live in turkey and they sell milk in cartons outside of the fridge and it doesn't go out of date. This is a small blurb explaining how they do it; The milk pumped in the closed system is first passed through a preheating phase of 80°C. It is then directly heated to 135-150 °C for 2 to 6 seconds. The milk, which is cooled to room temperature rapidly, is filled in systems closed to all kinds of external effects and packaged aseptically without using any additives.

I don’t think Oatly Barista has suspect ingredients? It’s organically produced. There’s oats, rapeseed oil (makes it barista - so it creams). The acidity regulator stops it curdling when added to hot drinks. Calcium carbonate (supports bone health) and potassium iodide (another dietary supplement) are minerals. It’s got some salt and otherwise just vitamins. It lasts because it’s kept in a aseptic packaging and is bottled in a sterile environment. Just be really careful with some of the stuff you’re saying as you start this journey to learning more because you’ve got a reach and you don’t want to spread misinformation/make people anxious about what they are consuming for reasons they may need not to be.

Hi Charlie and Josie, for your drawing room I would see one of your long sofas from George Smith being a velvety rich Napoleonic dark-ish blue colour. I think what you’re missing is a pop of colour. A nice rich colour that contrasts with your already tone on tone scheme you currently have. It is true that , that room is made to be sat in cozy and that is why I don’t find whites or creams to compliment the wood paneling. To ground the blue sofa I’d put a similar large blue-ish vase somewhere nearby. Have a look at Annie Sloan dark blues just for reference. I find that muted red just gets lost in all that delicious wood. Hope this helps.

Josie, try tan monk fruit in you coffee. It doesn't mess with your insulin levels. It also really brings out the flavor of the coffee. In addition, try sprinkling seasalt into coffee grounds before brewing. It cuts the bitterness of the coffee. If you try that first you may not even have to use a sweeter.

Try Aquafaba! Aquafaba is the water leftover after soaking chickpeas. You see it a lot in vegan cooking as an egg replacement and is used to make meringue because of how well it froths and holds its shape. I would add vanilla extract and a little maple syrup to taste.

Josie !!! HM has launched their iconic Spring floral prints 🌷🌸🌻🌼🎉❤ so it’s worth to really explore the website and see the beautiful pieces. Few tips: it’s worth to check the “new arrivals”, “dresses” but also to type “floral dresses “ in the search bar. Also I checked the “maternity collection floral prints” and if you get an XS there’s nothing in the construction of the dresses that actually makes it (pregnant only) and some of the dresses are absolutely stunning!!!!!! Good luck before it sells out 😊

Love the new furniture arrangement in the drawing room. It's so true that it looks better with this layout, even in smaller rooms (with furniture to scale), it's a great idea to avoid the centrifuge effect (furniture pushed back to the walls), if at all possible. If you get this room right, it could be a perfect evening adult escape if you ever have kids, whereas the family room is just that! I do think you can do modern furniture or a mix of old and new regardless of the age of the house. In Denmark, it's very common to see (mid centuary) modern furniture in a period house, with a sprinkle of inherited furniture for good measure. The British tend to either do one or the other, in my experience.

Monk fruit...try Monkfruit as a natural sweeter. It's completely natural and low Cal. Much better than Stevia 🤫 Also...have you considered a glass conservatory extension off your kitchen? Not sure if you have the movement with your heritage and conservation body. Yet it would gift you an “almost outside” all year round space for casual meals and possibly a reading/snuggle nook as part of your main home.

Hello! Interior designer here 👋 I love the new furniture layout in the drawing room - you have a great eye! I would say to make the two new sofas facing each other the same shape and color and then do an accenting pouf in the middle. Having twin sofas will bring the most balance to the room while still being cozy. You can do the sofas in a dark red like you said or opt for a lighter color like you have already which might offset all the wood tones nicely. I’d do a long rectangular pouf in the center in a patterned fabric. On top of the pouf you can add a tray with books, candle, other decorative elements.

The reason dairy milk froths so well is due to its high fat content. You have to incorporate fat into your homemade oat milk recipe. Adding 1-2tbsp of rapeseed oil, canola oil or coconut oil should do the trick.

Josie the fat content of milk is what gives that delicious foam or throth. Whole milk produces the best foam for coffee. Oils are added to oat milk because it has no fat content. You could always try a little olive oil to your home made oat milk and see if it improves the foam content

To solve for your problem of having a dark dining room what if you swapped your snug into the current dining room, and put the dining room just off the kitchen!

In order for the oat milk to properly froth it has to be heated up first. what exactly is the key to frothing oat milk? The first is protein and fats, and the second is Gellan Gum - a vegan food additive that serves as a thickening agent for non-dairy liquid. This ingredient is key to ensuring your oat milk is able to froth. It helps maintain the consistency of the drink.

Regarding wild garlic, in my garden it grow every spring naturally. Actually if you plant some wild garlic bulbs it will spread easily.

Your new layout, having two sofas facing is so much better, and have the sofas the same shape ❤

I love the drawing room content! Two “floating” sofas is definitely the way to go! We’re doing the same at our place. You should layout measurement for a round puff because it can be tricky with big sofas!

I remember my daughter used to use Almond milk for cereals etc and when I looked at the ingredients I expected to find maybe a little bit of additives, but, instead was horrified to read there was about 3 or 4 almonds IN THE ENTIRE BOX!!! 😒 (same size as Josie). I'm still shocked about that a few years later!!! 😮

You have beautiful woodwork on the back wall. If you switch the two sofas you’ll be able to add contrast to that wall which will make the woodwork pop even more.

Making your oat milk. Maybe add more cashews and maybe some almonds. Then filter is. And like Charlie suggested to add some filtered water and a small pinch of sea salt and more oats. Find a natural sweetener that is healthy for you Josie. I do think that making your own it a lot healthier. Definitely save the grains for compost or for baking.

Love the beautiful layout in your lounge tranformed into a lucious space💜 and love you and charlie in the kitchen such a treat ☺ to make the oat milk creamier you can add cashews or macadamia nuts. for the sweetener adding a date or for some store cupboard items like sweetleaf stevia sweet drops (natural, zero calories, no carbs) you can get different flavours or Odysea date molasses. soaking nuts before hand helps and better for digestion too 💖
