These videos are so enjoyable to watch. It reminds me of my early teens some 50 years ago potting, netting and trawling around Portland and Poole where my uncles lived. The mill pond days (sea as smooth as glass) were pleasant but boring, unless we got to a wreck.

It's 4am. Got up and turned on the computer. hooray, Troj handling the boat and Rebecca demonstrating her handpot pulling technique. I always get a good laugh from Trojs commentary, thank you.

Been enjoying your videos, we’re going to have a go with some pots this year. Just wondering how you splice the short line to the pot into the main line ? Perhaps you can do a short video. We only intend putting the pots in pairs. Thanks , Dave.

Although I have one spliced set I don't tend to use that method. I would only use it if I was on a bigger boat pulling a lot of pots. This video may help. It shows how I set up the pots. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYPQnmZ7jZafZqs

Hi Troy and Rebecca... Pocket pot doing a little sightseeing at the lighthouse!
@Trojwaterman10 ай бұрын
Yes. I think it will be in the next boat video or two before we moved it back in.

How do you keep track of your pot locations as I see you move them often?
@Trojwaterman10 ай бұрын
I usually just remember where I put them. If I were to struggle or put them out in the middle of nowhere I could refer to the previous GPS track.

Just for 1 trip and 1 trip only I think a role reversal would make for real interesting viewing, full footage no edits lol

All my older videos are just me doing everything & Rebecca would only pilot the boat in an emergency due to the thousands of rocks and strong tides around there :)

Can you eat horse mackerel, just curious?
@Trojwaterman10 ай бұрын
Yes you can. We fillet them they taste great fresh. We also tried freezing some and flavour was not so good.

@@TrojwatermanDo you vaccum pack your fish for freezing Troy? I've found it makes a great difference to storing Fish & meats.
