I want to thank you, Troy and Rebecca for sharing you experiences with me. I watch how you do things overnight there and it's awesome. I really like when you do your low tide scavenging. As well as the lobser and crab pots and fishing ty mike from u s a.

Its quite interesting watching how sealife behaves with just a camera down there as apposed to being down there with a camera

Hi Troy and Rebecca ... Liked the camera footage of pollack ... How deep down was it? ... I think pocket pot was lonely out there by lighthouse as there didn't seem to be any visitors ...

It was around 20m 70ft We had to be careful as it starts to get deeper quickly there and would run the risk of damaging the equipment if we went to deep plus it starts to get dark.

We eat them. Fillet them first just like a mackerel then no bones. As with mackerel better to have a bigger one to fillet.

do you find there are more bass about now a days with all the catch rules and regs. same gose for the lobsters
@Trojwaterman
@Trojwaterman 9 ай бұрын
In my experience there are plenty of small bass about 3lb and below, but far less large ones like we used to catch between 4lb to double figures. The lobster are one of the success story's here but probably due to the decline in large predatory fish, a small increase in size limit and less destructive fishing methods being used in this area. On the flip side crab have been on the decline along with shore crabs this is possibly due to the massive increase in lobster which love to prey on them. It shows you need to have a balance in conservation efforts and not just pick the most valuable species on the market.

Love your videos.....just wish some tackle company would supply you with some good quality rods ..... there missing a great marketing opportunity

The company would have to have confidence in their products. I don't like promoting products that are just there to catch the fishermen. :)

You ought to put the go pro on the end of the feathers It would be interesting to see the mackerel attacking them

The problem is the footage jumps around to much and can be very jarring to watch. But we may film it one day when the mackerel are just below the boat. The footage going up underwater is all test footage at the moment but we have come up with a way to film a lot clearer and deeper. We also need the right weather tide and have the time. So hopefully this year we will film more underwater.

Hi troy Rebecca just a thought do you think that painting your bobers with antifouling would help keep them clean also I noticed that your mast does not have any port,starboard lights or don't you need them where I was on the Thames it was a requirement 😊ttfn

I have used antifoul on bobbers before but often it rubs off on the boat when handling the bobbers all the time. I don't need them on my boat but I do need the white light.

Are the horse mackerel good eating ? as I sometimes catch them and opinions vary amongst my friends as to their value food/bait

They taste very good fresh but we did not like them after they were frozen. Filleted the same way as mackerel just with the addition of skinning them. This will remove the sharp plates on the tale.

Just came across your channel, liked and subscribed. Don't like the membership stuff on such a small channel. Tbh it puts me off...
@Trojwaterman

The Member stuff was put there as it was asked for by people.who wanted to donate to the channel. All donations go back into the channel. (Usually on filming equipment). Any extra content put on the member platforms would not make it to the main channel even if there was no membership.
