A super easy way to help horses be comfortable when trained - not only compliant

A great way to make sure our horse is comfortable when trained is to have a bucket of water near by that they can drink from. This goes for hot summer as well as cold winter as both heat and cold makes horses thirsty. Allowing horses to take a break and drink water during the training session is a great way to make sure they are not only obedient when around us but also comfortable, which is essential when doing liberty without treats.

Very interesting to watch! Is she trying to get rid of the bit by playing with water and scratching? Is it a calming signal? Very good to have the opportunity for them avails to do so. Second video is very different. Love how he says he’s ready to play some more

Thank you! Whatever is going on I think it`s important that they get to express themselves. Giving choices is a very powerful method that can make horses a bit robotic and shut down, cause by making our idea their idea they can stop expressing their ideas. This is a great way to balance this and listen to the horse`s suggestions too
