Yeah I totally agree! Love these vlogs. Living in CT seeing all the breaks I surf on camera is so cool. And so cool you said nahoon. That’s my home break where I grew up. Learned to surf at the life savers shack and corner. And got barrelled at reef for the first time. Nahoon is definitely underrated

By far the biggest source for plastic pollution is the fishing industry. For example more than 40% of the plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is lost or abandoned fishing gear. So if you care about the Ocean then the most reasonable thing you can do is to stop eating fish and other seafood.

That’s not going to do anything to stop eating fish. What will help is for manufacturers to use recycled materials and sustainable products and for fishermen to be way more conscientious about their gear both in and out of the boat.

Love it ! Cape Town is probably one of the most scenic place in the world. Have you project to come in Europe ? I’m leaving near the famous Hossegor beach break. South west France is kind of California. Mountains and Atlantic Ocean. Hundreds kilometers of coast line with the world class wave of Mundaka. You might come visit us ! Every little step matters to save the ocean to save the nature , yet surfing industry isn't great for the ocean at all ... could be your next vlog Koa! how all those surfboards are produced . when i got to make my first surf board i had no idea how toxic it will be - i just made one and repaired another broken i had and that's all cause it was such a toxic experience -all this Styrofoam and highly toxic raisins .. god ! i use second hand boards but I'm not at all a pro surfer . anyways what i want to say that surfing is great connection with the ocean and great for us physically and mentally but we need to find ways to detox this great sport - way better then recycling - recycling means reusing this toxic plastic means burning that sh@t again into the atmosphere etc - its all so damn complex in nature and we humans are such a big part of it we should really quickly find much better solutions than what we already have to enjoy our mother nature which is so beautiful nourishing us and keeping us alive ... btw great vlogs !

Koa was ROBBED on the Ultimate Surfer! Anyone who watched the show would have seen Zeke was more competitive with the other surfers rather than competing with nature, all be it manufactured surf. All of the other surfers pumped one another up. Zeke is a great surfer, but an egotis. Koa loves competing against the waves and himself. Zeke and Koa should have tied rather than Zeke scoring the only perfect score. Koa's last surf clearly was a 10. Subsequently, a 4th surf-off should have been warranted. Koa, you were best surfer of the two, soon to be the best in the world. Koa... your time will come!
