What an incredibly beautiful and gracious lady!! Truly she is proof that a joyful heart and loving spirit, is ageless! Quilts of Valor is a wonderful organization. My husband was a combat disabled Vietnam veteran and had been in and out of the hospital so much. I was contacted by a lady with Quilts of Valor who asked did I think my darling would like one? It was so beautiful -- Three of the quilters in the group came to present it to him and my darling was overwhelmed. He's since been called Home -- But I keep the quilt where I can see if every day and remember the joy it gave him.

My mother had a Singer Featherweight - the same machine as this one. She used it from the late 1940's until she passed away in 1982. My sister now uses it! Best Singer sewing machine ever made!

She 's 80??? Wow she looks too marvelous for words. I'm sure she cherishes the new sewing machine so she can start doing her things again--which is giving!! My grandma had a similar looking sewing machine. She bought it new in 1929 and it still in the family today.
