Plot spoiler: the turtle and the conch recently met up after years of being apart and were looking for a place to eat when they saw the diver. The turtle went over to ask directions when the diver visciously knocked his buddy to the seafloor, the turtle scarpered in case he was next.....
@Kube_Dog5 жыл бұрын
The conch and turtle have a symbiotic relationship. The turtle moves it around and the conch eats algae off the turtle's shell. IT'S A GOOD THING. The diver screwed up, because he doesn't know what's going on. It's not a cute, heroic video. It's a small fuck up by a person who misunderstood the situation.

i remember a vacation in sri lanka, we were diving along the right side of the island and ended up swimming together with a Hawksbill sea turtle its the same sort as the turtle in nemo if im correct they're an endangered species so seeing one was incredibly special to me and its still one of the best things ever to have happened to me luckily it looked healthy as far as i could notice, i hope its still out there living its life happily

Videos like this always make me wonder if animals that do this know that humans can do things they can’t or if they just go up to everything that’s moving and just hope for the best.
@Rosaap_5 жыл бұрын
Probably another human helped it before
@MrsQuietMusic5 жыл бұрын
Yes, how do they know we can do this? At least they see we do not have shark teeth or big claws. I believe they just know we are humans and that we can help. I dont think it is because they have seen humans before, I think they just know it intuitively.
@juliaashcroft29064 жыл бұрын
I think they also communicate. Maybe another sea turtle had a good past experience with a diver and spread the word or this turtle had a positive past experience. For example there’s several studies on ravens (I know different animal completely). Studies have shown that when a human rescues a raven or feeds it, it communicates this to its flock and the other ravens are nicer or will come to you looking for food as well.

They know humans can do things they can’t. Probably the only other animal in the water that could would be octopuses. We totally underestimate animal intelligence, even though they prove over & over that they are extremely intelligent.

The animal on it's back is a conch. Conches are a type of sea snail, and sea snails crawl around all over the place just like land snails do. The idea that this guy somehow saved the turtle, or that the turtle is asking for help is ridiculous. The snail would have crawled off it's back in a few minutes or maybe an hour or so. The turtle was never in the slightest danger, yet this guy tries to make himself look like some kind of hero.
