In other words, I have no fucking clue why but Japanese developers really want to spoil all the shit before you even get to it. Mostly Japanese. All of them. Almost. Also, for those of you who missed me (if there are any *sad_face*) I did overdose on pancakes, got into ER and then coma for 11 days and now I am back. Good thing the moment I decide to talk bout cool things into mic I get sore throat and a fucking cold cuz winter. Cya in Nioh later this week! :P

You said you can't overdose on pancakes if you smoke them.

That's actually right about anime, I guess its a truly Japanese thing. Also, trashyTophat

If you watch a lot of anime they put a lot of things in the very begining of the 1st episode that are scenes, hints, or elements tied toward end of the story. Whether it's 2 dudes duking it out, a stare down between brother, or a fight at the top of a skyscraper. I guess it's kind of like a way of saying "ohhhh that's what that was/meant" when you finally get to it. And when you get right down to it the scenes they are showing a good majoriry of the time don't have any context. Imo it's a way of saying: here's what you will be seeing when you play this game. I wouldnt call them spoilers, more like teasers.

I may be weird, but i love spoilers. They make me play game/read book/watch movies even more then do it blind.

In arcades it also had to do with the nature of CRT. The image had to to change or it would get burned into the screen or whatever.

Yup, as another person has pointed out in the comments - I completely missed that, good call!

hm it's true but for me - who eat more and more information - tomoroww i don't remember what happened in trailer.

I believe most of the problem is within the very predictable plot lines. I don't think game developers are really putting in effort to make a good or interesting story like the developers of old have done, although the developers of old often took their stories from books or novels, the stories were still enticing or had a different point of view than you would expect.

Maybe they want to hype the players. They expected a reaction like: “OMG! Now I want to do the same thing this dude did!” That’s just an idea, it can be completely wrong
@neptunusequester7 жыл бұрын
How does it hype anyone? Nioh just showed main protagonist. Nier trailer legitimately showed footage from last 30 minutes of the game :/
@mcita92927 жыл бұрын
neptunusequester I don’t’ know Nier, so I have no idea (my bad), but for Nioh I clearly remember two of my class mates getting hyped after the trailer. That’s where my idea came from EDIT: *ex-class mates
