I believe Mary 1 was in France at the field of cloth of gold and was engaged to the prince of France when she was little. Catherine and Henry were there also and Ann Boleyn

I think you mixed up your Marys. Catherine’s daughter Mary was not in France and never was engaged to the dauphin. Mary, Queen of Scot was the one who went to France. Mary l was never in France.

The information and facts in the podcast are actually correct. Mary, the daughter of Catherine, actually was engaged to the dauphin when she was just two years old. After about three years, the engagement was broken off and Mary was contracted to marry her cousin, Charles V.

@@mariaharu you are right that Henry used Mary as a pawn but she did not go to France. Mary, Queen of Scots did.

Excellent podcast, well done. Just a small request: please stop cutting Catherine's hood out of her portraits. I understand this may be difficult as it's just a black hood on a black background, but she looks very strange without a hood.
