No offense to Impa's voice actress, but I think she could've been better. Her voice fits and she read the "analytical" lines well...but Impa was _clearly_ supposed to be screaming some of these lines, and hearing her just talk normally with her voice being _barely_ raised...It kinda took me out of the moment. It wasn't straight up _bad_ acting, but it _was_ noticeable, especially when compared to Ganondorf's voice actor. Like I said, it wasn't bad...it just needs some work.

I thought it was kinda sweet what Ganandolf was doing (in a bit of a twisted way). I rewatched the chapters before this one and saw how Ganon learned that Zelda had been roped into a love affair with her tutor at 13, and that's how she ended up with Rinku (I believe?) And who did Ganon say was in the battle to the death? Rapists and child molesters. In a way, he was doing it as an act of love towards Zelda, which I think was sweet.

Exactly. Which is why I don't really see a problem with this. I can see where it can politically can cause problems in the future as Impa has stated. But in Ganondorf's eyes, he was doing the land a favor.

Hylian psychology is Human psychology, and if I am honest, it might as well be Intelligent Life Form psychology to question another's motives even when they are trying to stay true. Impa is only half right while still being mostly wrong. Yes Ganondorf is getting the crowd to love him, the sadistic crowd can't be stopped and there would have been a riot, she is even right about how he is getting a tighter grip in his control over the kingdom, but she still thinks him to be a savage beast that wants complete control. Link was the last thing on his mind, Love and his own hatred towards rapists was the main cause for him slaughtering all who were trialed and thrown in prison in front of an audience who wanted blood and entertainment. She did notice much of what he could do but was to busy looking forward to notice the other hints towards where he was trying to head towards. But it isn't like she could walk up to him and ask since she probably wouldn't believe what comes out of his mouth even in his most sincere and least plotting moments just as almost every human does.

I really enjoyed the first 5 chapters of this dub, but when I found out about Vade, I was resigned to the fact that it would be forever tainted and I couldn't watch it again without being reminded of the terrible things he did to you all. Thank you for bringing it back and turning it into an inspirational behind-the-scenes story of overcoming adversity, allowing me to enjoy the whole thing once again while only directing my hatred at Ghirahim.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm really excited to see this series return. But I was a little disappointed by the VA for Impa. I know she's supposed to be the level-headed spy master and all that, but the delivery here felt very dispassionate; like the complete opposite of overacting, yet somehow just as bad. She's clearly supposed to be riled up, yet none of that shines through with the VA; which is in stark contrast to Ganondorf and even Zelda, who sometimes felt a little too restrained herself... Just something for you to consider in the future. :)

It probably has something to do with why they'd abandoned production of this dub in the first place. They might still associate this series too closely with Vade and have too many bad memories to consider it worth continuing to work on it (that's just a guess, there are plenty of other potential reasons why the voice actors might have needed to change that have nothing to do with Vade, but given the circumstances...)

The only proof I can give you for now is to point you to Starbot's Twitter bio which says she is "permanently haunted by the existence of [Vade]". I know that's not much, but it's all I've got until I can find that vlog again.

I mean that's kinda a loaded statement isn't it? Zelda is a queen who constantly needs the help of a legendary hero of time and feels inadequate on the throne. Thusly someone rounding up and killing some 100odd of her people, whether their evil or not stings. It shows that she is not in control and she hates it. And then past the fears, and irritations of the queen there is also simply the moral question of redemption. Is redemption possible? She desperately needs to believe that redemption is possible. It's the only reason she can bear to marry someone who so easily murdered her people again and again. She's seen the atrocities Ganon committed and he convinced her that he was forced into the situation but nonetheless when given the chance for revenge he razed Hyrule to the ground, turned it's people into zombies and tried to rule the rest of the world by fear and punishment. So is he redeemable? If the answer is yes, then those prisoners were too.

Oof, Impa's really miscast here. The VA lacks passion, has no emphasis on her words, doesn't even raise her voice (when the character is supposed to be yelloing) and lacks the dialect I've always pictured the Gerudo having. (Though I suppose that's a particular nitpick.)

So potentially controversial opinion here I think Gannon was well within his rights to do what he did. First of all the the rapists and child molesters got exactly what they deserved. More importantly as a king in a medieval society this is a good way to not only ingratiate himself to his people but also give a show of force impress while also potentially putting the fear of God into those who haven't fully been accepted him. Given both the context of the world and is as well as his wives past this is also probably his (twisted) way of showing love.

I think that Rinku is more than likely the reincarnation of the Hero Of Courage,instead of being his daughter. And Zelda had found out that she was somehow and that is the whole reason why she had adopted Rinku in the first place. I say that because Zelda had said that she only had sex with ONE person. And that was that douche tutor of hers when she was 13. So unless Rinku is actually his daughter,then she is not Zelda's actual daughter and she surely isn't the Hero Of Courage's daughter. And what if in this cycle Link had reincarnated later than usual and so Link is still a child?

the fight Ganondolf put on was more an act of love then it was testing his boundaries after the story that Zelda told him about her tutor he did say he'd hunt him down this spectacle would have been more to show how serious he is and that he cares for her, in his own way otherwise he could have simply chosen random criminals instead he dilibritly chose child molesters and rapist though there were murders there too but I think he did that for diversity so that some of them would give a fight otherwise the spectacle would have been over too quickly
