Jim- I feel like you should give Manny a mention in this video. He is the expert on the GMCMH transmission and final drive. Again, this is just my opinion. Enough said.

Can you pull this trans without pulling the motor ? I only have reverse

Yes, you can drop it out the bottom, with or without the final drive. The GMC manual tells you how.

There’s a kid in the background who’s parents didn’t do what they should have done. It’s not funny although I’m sure he thought it was. I bet he will go far in life. Ok so maybe I was wrong, “ sort of”but probably not as it’s the same voice over and over. Loud doesn’t make people take you more seriously.

So if the original set up was Oldsmobile. Tornado then they switched out to the Chevy big block. Why wouldn't Cadillac elderado engine and tranny work?

they never switched to a chevy big block. the olds is better than the 454. Yes the cad 500 will work
