I would LOVE more videos of this style, I know a lot of people have a tiktok attention span these days, but i'd much rather sit down for 30-45 minutes and learn something from someone knowledgeable. Also a huge fan of showing what went wrong and why, instead of the normal youtube channel recipe of dumping a bunch of money into brand new parts and watching something get assembled without any follow-up.

Definitely keep doing these! I don’t watch Netflix I watch guys like you. I love how you break down the failures and explain the cause and the solution 👍🏼

You are badass! Yes, keep the videos coming, it was by no means to long. I have half the money saved for you to do my 800hp 48re. Can't wait!

Thanks for the long format. Very educational. I have a 48re doing the 1-2-1 shuttle shift. 06 with 205k. Today did the Borg Warner solenoid and new transducer, and adjusted front band and found that the adjuster needed to be in further than flush on the nut. Everything seems a little crispier, except it still shuttle shifts from first to second. Is it worth doing the borgwarner front band or do I need to be pulling the transmission and driving it to your shop 😅 The magnet had a giant metal donut on it.
@LoganbuiltRaceShop5 күн бұрын
@@MattEllermets if the 2nd gear adjuster is ran in down past flush with the nut then the 2nd gear band is burnt. Usually when I see them that far gone they have gone metal on metal with the direct drum and trashed the drum too. I would be considering a full overhaul

I would have thought that putting two steels together would be a recipe for lots of slipping.
@LoganbuiltRaceShop11 күн бұрын
@@machine7767 the steels are locked into the receiving grooves of the drum so they are one with the drum, turning as it does. 2 steels stacked together is essentially the same thing as having 1 thicker steel. It works very well.

I have a 48RE and I have a problem with the neutral safety/range sensor. It seems like I cannot find a good one which one do you use? PS I purchased mine from Napa.

What is your opinion on the temperature sensor on the output line to the trans cooler?
@dieseldaniel666012 күн бұрын
I would want inside trans temps, being on the line would give you a colder reading.

@Maybe you can do some content on the 66 RFE. Specifically, the cooling block near the transmission. I would like to remove that completely and just install hoses. I feel like that will help my transmission temperatures tremendously. Do you have any input on that? Is it a good idea? Bad idea is there a reason I should not do it. I live in Northwest Georgia. It’s fairly warm here most of the time say nine out of 12 months. I’m seeing temperatures in my transmission that are anywhere from 208 to 221°. As far as I know, that’s way too hot. I think that cooling block is a waste of metal.

If it was my trans I would probably use the sun shell but not for a customer. I got a mulldoons vb for my friends but I knew it was to late. Lost reverse n 3rd. Pretty sure the 3rd gear seal rolled. Pressure in all gears was 210 to 220 for a daily. To much I think. But it was beat on hard for like 4 month's. Didn't skip a beat till it did. Fine on the way to work n backed into a spot n then after work that was the problem.

I don't get why video length of any duration or length is or isn't a problem for some. Real question is are some tooTarded2 know how to use 2x play speed or save for later, pause or perhaps even download. I guess it's kinda a similar reason most people think of the US corporation as their gubbment, they just have no interest or idea what's really going on or care 2 ish's enough to become informed. In other words wake up youTards, you're effecting the overall quality for everyone else who knows how to not make a issue where there are none to be made. Yeah nah, great video boss, make them as long as you the content creator decide is fitting rest of us can figure out the rest. ✌️
