It's the most powerful song I've heard in so long i can't remember. It's authentic, raw and heartfelt. I've never seen a song resonate with so many different people at a soul level. It's American folk music, out of the mountains in Appalachia. It proves that we have everything in common that matters Not too long ago he was struggling with alcohol and depression. Contemplated suicide. He fell to his knees and prayed to God to take them away and for him to go forward with his music. God answered his prayers. Maybe it's God's energy in his voice that's got the ability to penetrate the soul of whoever hears it A local radio station that scouts talent throughout Appalachia approached him and asked if they could record him. They posted it just days ago and the rest is history. It's the only song that's been professionally recorded. There's others that are so good too, in the top 10, but they were recorded on his iPhone. He's so surprised at the reaction and outpouring of love. He played a farmers market Sunday and there was standing room only. 25 acres of parked cars. He said in June he played for 20 people. Lol. Before his performance he didn't plug him, his songs or his social media. He read a verse from psalms about how the wicked will not prevail. Everyone was singing along and knew all the words despite it being released only a few days prior. Its been a week. 16 million views on KZbin alone He stayed 4 hours after talking to every person who wanted to talk with him and he listened to their stories. An inspirational young man with an inspirational story and an angelic voice that everybody feels. He quit his job as a factory worker to pursue his music. He bought land and lives on that with his dogs off grid. This song is recorded on his land

His words remind me of the Israelites in Egypt: "when the cry of the children of Yisra'el has come to Me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the rulers oppress them." It sounds perhaps strange but I have been looking out for this. Oliver Anthony has just set the cry free and he is speaking for oppressed people worldwide. I myself am Dutch and have four children. Young adults. I see one future for them. Being enslaved with no chance of starting a family. When I saw that I realized if there is a GOD he will come into action for now they are touching the core of His Soul denying Him His family. No offense but, for me, to see all of that horrible stuff happening and people crying out in desperation as the suffer make me realize there is no god or gods. At least not good ones, since any good god with all the power would never ever ever allow his creation suffer injustices. And that god certainly wouldn’t play favorites wiry one random group of dusty shepherds in that bronze-age Middle East, command them to murder all the innocent men women and children living there, and take it over for themselves. Yep the Republican war on police has led to crime that disproportionately affects the poor. The Republican war on cheap energy and other crazy policies have led to massive inflation that makes it hard to buy groceries. The Republican open border policies have flooded the country with cheap labor, so that you have to compete with people willing to live 8 families to a house. Wait...those are Democrat policies. In case you missed the MAGA movement, conservatives voted overwhelmingly to stop outsourcing and bring back US manufacturing. 2019 was banging until COVID lockdowns driven by mostly Democrat politicians screwed our economy and small businesses.
