Yorktown is not a bad place to visit but a horrible place to live. The traffic and the highly unskilled, rude, fast drivers make it impossible to stay. Plus it's way too crowded. And that so-called Yorktown "beach" you visited, is all trucked in sand. That water is loaded with foul stuff. Don't ever let your kids swim in it.
