Thanks for the video. Was wondering why couldn’t get pulley off the stud. Was hoping didn’t have to undo the long tensioner bolt completely. Thought would come off stud after loosening the front nut. Working on a 4Runner but take same pulley so learned from this video

If you really wanna see the stuff fly out of it, have a thirdhand and have that person push the needle valve where the propane attaches make sure they have gloves on because it’s gonna get all over their hands.

Great video! And well done! While we're here, is anyone have any experience using the filter that can be purchased to go along with this unit? I purchased a filter and it works great except now it no longer allows the unit to light. I'm wondering if the filter has reached its useful in it. Does anyone know can that filter be cleaned manually? Or is it just something disposable we have to toss?

Isn’t the issue with the drive link the bolts on the Mopar parts? They told me the dealership would fix my truck for free but all they’re gonna do is weld the bolts shut. The problem with it is those bolts that you were losing and tightening, loosen up overtime.

Mine normally start first to second try...if they don't you already have issues . Most likely oil in lines from propane ..especially if you use a 20lb tank vs the 1 lb tanks.
@cherry63376

Turn tank off, 10 seconds flame goes out, hose is empty. Turn flame valve off. To restart, turn tank on slowly, turn burner on and light. The hose can not have pressure left in it because Propane is oil and the oil separates and clogs the hose over a few days so this is the correct way to turn off the burner when the hose goes a distance before the proprietary regulator for the burner. A barbecue pit hose does not have this problem because the regulator is at the tank valve.

Something i dont get here.... If air is injected into the output end of the pilot tube in order to get rid of debris which may be blocking the tube...where does that debris go? ....back into the be feed lines and probably back into the control valve of course...the debris could conceivably be expelled out the gas inlet but it has a very valve, which i did not see opened ....SO, if there was trash in the system, its still in the flow path somewhere...just waiting to clog it up again

Thanks for the video brother. Subscribed. I'm still trying to figure out where the two wires coming off the AC compressor go. I know one goes to some round looking thing under the heat plate but can't get in deep enough visually to see which one goes where. Sucks. I don't see it even in the FSM.

I didn't here what year your truck is but was wondering if it has gone in for the recalls Dodge put out? Because there was a recall on the steering and my dealer won't sign off the recall on my 2006 because it now has this linkage with the clamp on steering stabilizer. BTW, I am checking with other dealers in case it's BS. Also, the MOOG equivalent (DS800980A) is virtually the same to the Mopar one except the MOOG one has grease fittings on every joint. But there was a recall on the MOOG ones production years 2013-2018. Does anyone have any info on newer ones since they are still being sold? Good video tho, I subscribed and I agreed, those jack stands made me nervous.

Good video, but can I make some additional recommendations :- 1/ use a length of 1.5" timber to set your clearance distance from the cab 2/ you can remove the slide section from the mounting base to make fitting much easier 3/ check underneath truck bed before you drill 4/ use sharp drills and don't push hard 5/ use high speed setting on drill (avoids jamming and sharp edges) 6/ in addition to priming/painting drill hole edges, smear the fixing with silicone. Makes fixing more secure and gives further protection against corrosion, dust and water ingress 7/ if you'll be going offroad, don't use rivnuts, they can rattle loose. Use stainless bolts with a stainless backing plates or large washers under bed, and stainless nylock nuts. Will also minimise bi-metal corrosion 8/ if you do use rivnuts, drill 7/16" not 1/2". It's a tighter fit and allows you to file off any sharp dags without losing clearance Cheers

Easy to use right out the box kzbin.infoUgkxAvrAfikbUEMthp3AZ6iX5FKdiHfzy_RP . Next step is to get a heat activated fan to move the heat. I'm impressed by how long it can go on 1 lbs of propane at the low setting which lasted more than 6hrs. You'll have to adjust it lower than the low setting. Used for personal heating at 30° to 50° at low setting in an open garage, it's quite comfortable. It would warm up a good size single car garage if its closed off.

How's it tent in heat and humidity?
@FamilyAdventuresOverlanding
@FamilyAdventuresOverlanding Жыл бұрын
It does a little better than most as the fabric is better at blocking more light than most. This helps to keep it somewhat cooler. The rain fly does a very good job of reflecting the UV to help keep the temperature down and allow the windows to be open. The airflow is actually pretty good on these, which I was surprised by. Humidity is always going to be a factor and there’s not much you can do other than create air movement to help curb it. Hope that helps!

You may not see this comment, but just a few observations. The 5g won’t help you unless your phone is 5g capable. (The booster will still do awesome with the 2g, 3g and 4g/lte) Your iPhone 12 can take advantage of the 5g and it would be awesome to see that data. I have a 12 Pro Max and the drive reach. The drive reach is INCREDIBLE! Also, every 3db gained doubles your signal. At -103, boosting to -100 doubles your signal. Boosting again to -97 doubles it again and so on. I’m going to try that # on my phone and watch!! Thanks for the tip!
