Even though I live in a small mountain town in the smokies of western NC…. We have an amazing, authentic, thai place. It’s just a little hole in the wall. I recently discovered that papaya salad. Im trying to work my way thru the menu. It’s amazing! So light and refreshing. I get it with Tom kha ghai (?) coconut and broth base. I do love their curry like you had and other curry. Something about the spices and herb combinations. I leave feeling so good. It’s so healthy and good for you, considering I’m eating out. Beautiful location!

Koh Samet is a lovely island you might like to visit, it's not far from Pattaya you can drive it in no time get a cheap boat over and there's lots of cheap accommodation on the island

Pad Kra Pow , “aloi Mak Mak” if you haven’t , you have to try it, it’s almost a Thai staple often on menus it is listed as “fried basil” with what meat you select , moo- pork, is the most common , do yourself a favour, get some into ya 😝👍

My favourite dish is... Khao Soi - a northern Thai dish with wheat-based egg noodles at the bottom, topped with a coconut milk curry broth containing chicken or beef, and topped with crispy deep fried noodles.

I have literally just eaten that, admittedly it was from the 7/11, 3 mins in the nuker but delicious at almost 3am and not bad value for just over a quid, 2 of them and you have a full meal! winner

@@andrewrobinson2565 I have seen videos in the markets where you can get chicken on a stick for 20 bahts or sausages for 20 bahts. As long as you don't get the african bum squirts from it should be fine and a cheap way to eat. I guess they don't have strict hygeine rules in Thailand and the food spoils in the heat. But once you get used to it your body will become immune and symptoms will stop.

Hi Darren, love your channel. I really urge you to get up to Chiang Mai asap before the heat and pollution. The riding up here is unbelievable. Most people head for Hua Hin during the burning season. There is not the amazing scenic mountain riding that Chiang Mai offers. Be aware Middle of March temperatures will be heading up to 40’s, so I guess you either get up here soon, or put off till November. Trust me your blogs up here will be off the charts. Take care out there.
