I love this - there's no way to avoid pencil problems, but there are ways to avoid the frustration. I agree that grinding away at dull pencils at the end of the day and sharpening them is tremendously therapeutic! Thank you for sharing this idea. I put my pencil box at the back of the room with the tissues, the extra lined and graph paper shelves, and hand gel.

I just found this video and your enegry made me smile. I am a homeschooling mom of 4 (5 but the oldest is 20). Were converting a shed into a classroom this summer. I have never seen the containers in black. It's a shame how much money teachers pay out of pocket to provide a well stocked and welcoming class.

I have a small Sterilite 3-Drawer system like the one you showed. I am trying to figure out a different approach for HS students that need pencils and was thinking about something like what you shared.
