A technologist’s guide to cardiac CT: Pre-scan, protocol optimization, and post-scan

Presenting on Sept. 6, 2022, this presented by Siemens Healthineers to hear experts from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a nationally ranked academic medical center in downtown Chicago, discuss the latest techniques in coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) using Siemens’ Dual Source CT scanners.
Topics will focus on the technical factors of image acquisition and optimization for CCTA, and methods to troubleshoot challenging cases. Attendees should expect to learn best practices in patient preparation, protocol optimization and selection, and post scan reconstruction.
Speakers:
Bradley Allen, MD, MS, is the Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging in the Department of Radiology and an Assistant Professor of Radiology focused on Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging.
Sarah Fopma, BS, RT (R) (CT), is the technology coordinator for Northwestern’s CT Department. Sarah has nearly 20 years of experience as a CT technologist, and currently manages a fleet of 12 CT scanners.
