It breaks my heart to even say this but listening to this sermon was like Deja Vu because this past Sunday the pastor at my church preached the exact same sermon, it's as if he got his notes from Mike Todd & I was so heartbroken. Of all the days that we can make a sermon about us, they couldn't even give Jesus the full focus on his "birthday". I surely thought there's clearly no way anyone could mess up a Christmas sermon but Alas i was proven wrong and it's more painful to know it's happening in many other churches

And no "we" are not going thru what they went thru. The Angel spoke to Mary, and Joseph(twice). I dont know anyone who spoke to an Angel.

I stopped going to a church where the pastor disagreed that people shouldnt be able to remarry. He made it known that another baptist church was not happy with him doing that and he flat out said he didnt care. Adulterers dont get to remarry, plain and simple. And that was a baptist church

Mike Todd should continue reading the next verses where the glory of God came to the shepherds and the angel of the Lord proclaimed the birth of Jesus to them and gave them the lication of the event...they then went to Bethlehem to witness the child wrapped un cloth in the manger. The King of Glory born in the humblest manner. Hallelujah!

Todd is not even Qualified to be a youth "pastor" , for he does not even know the Nativity Story! something that, here in the UK, which is even *more* Apostate and Secular than the US in many ways, the average *three year old* knows by Heart! Todd is not even Qualified, as he is an unbeliever, to even be in the church Building (the Canons of Dort are explicitly clear, Arminians (like Todd) are supposed to be Excommunicated as Unbelievers with Immediate effect and Shunned until or unless they Repent and Believe the Gospel!) let alone behind the Pulpit! and most certainly not in front of the Precious Lambs! An Elder Presbyter is much better Suited for the Children's Ministry, someone who is an actual Granddad, and thus will know how to teach the Children correctly! the Regular Pastor is the best fit for the Youth Ministry, as once they start Senior School at 11, they should be treated the Same as Adults!

My pastor didn't preach this sermon on Christmas Eve, but I more feel terrible that other people have been led astray by Todd instead of listening to the actual scriptures. Todd, seeing how he doesn't even attempt to mention Jesus Christ, comes off more like he's a cult leader, as de-emphasizing Jesus is a common warning sign/trait of cults.

Idk what he's talking about "birthing a vision", but there is such a thing as travailing in prayer, as Paul talks about travailing on behalf of the church (Gal 4:19) and we see Elijah in a travailing posture while praying for rain, so there is some validity to that in scripture. Now if you come up with some vision of something you would like to accomplish you can birth that out in the flesh so to speak, but you cannot birth anything of the Spirit without the Spirit (John 15 must be connected to the vine to produce fruit). I think we can draw some personal comforts from the story of Mary in such instance as God has purposed us to carry out something of His will(whatever that may be). For example, what God was using Mary to do caused others to look at her negatively and alienated her, she hid what the angel told her in her heart (an applicable principle that if we feel God has directed us in a particular way it's not always advantageous to share with everyone at any time), Mary had to continue to believe God the entire 33+ years up until the point of His resurrection which teaches us to be steadfast ECT. However, Michael Todd is for all intents and purposes a new age teacher. I am familiar with these types of teaching cause I used to be into law of attraction and such before I was saved. So what you have here is a mixture. A little bit of biblical truth and new age, which is one of the serpents ancient strategies (Eve in the garden, Jesus in the desert). But anyway that's my take but I'm just a lay person so don't take my word for it. To the content creator, I would love for you to elaborate on what I gleaned from scripture on travail and correct me if I am misreading the scripture on this subject! I agree with 100% that he is taking way too much liberty with this text and handling it in a very loose and irreverent manner. He's also not clear on any daily application of it, which I think if your going to read your listener into a text in that this manner it you should definitely come away with seem clear principles by which to live (eg steadfastness, faith, perseverance ect as I mentioned before). So yea, this is not good(I wanted to use other words by the Holy Spirit stopped me lol).

He wasn't properly educated and has told the world this that he has never gone to a bible college or seminary. Also, many in the body need to accept that there many like him who are not sold out to Christ but sold out to evil. Go look back at his sermons and if you look closely and listen, you can rituals being performed right before our eyes. One of the things that bothers me are many bretheren who follow after these leaders based on their popularity, ministry size, connection to secular rich and famous and not after sound doctrine of Christ. Many of them have been exposed as being false leaders and false doctrines of demons, but Christians will still follow them and attack other Christians and accuse them of being judgmental, jealous and not respecting the contributions that these individuals have made in the entertainment, political, and music industries. You will get accused of tearing them down.

@@Kdubtru In the Reformed, actually Christian, sense (Sadly, having see all the Comment Section and Sermon Wars between Reformed and non-Reformed, and being an ex-wesleyan myself, I have come to a pretty Painful Conclusion, and that is, if someone or something is not Reformed, then it is Not Christian! and it is Sad and Painful because it means anyone who is not Reformed...is very probably Lost...and that is a Lot of People...) it comes down to Geneva and Westminster Vs Dort and Oxford, and 1648 Westminster Directives Vs 1662 Book of Common Prayer... again. The 1648 Westminster Directives, and as much as they make me Despair at times, they are Reformed Doctrine and I have to Respect them and even Observe some of them in Regards to the Regulative Principle of Worship, do indeed declare Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, etc etc, as Pagan Idolatry and as Secular, worldly, Papal Superstitions, utterly repugnant unto God , so some Christians who choose to Observe the Westminster Directives, and are "Lord's Day Only" (such as the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland) do indeed class Christmas, no matter how it is Framed, as Pagan, and some of the more Fire Breathing Zealous ones (and I cannot condemn them for that, I tend to be pretty Fire Breathing myself) will accuse anyone who supports Christmas as Observing and Promoting Paganism and Committing Idolatry in utter defiance of God, as that is what the Westminster Directives State, just in a Nutshell. So, yes, in the Eyes of those who Choose to Observe the Westminster Directives under Christian Liberty, Supporting Christmas is Supporting Paganism, even if, Ultimately, the whole Argument comes under Romans Chapter 14 Verses 5 and 6. "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks." I'm trying to understand where he's getting at when he says as well that children wouldn't be born if men had to give birth and proceed to talk about the pain. It's not about saying who's stronger and who isn't. But last time I checked men go through pain. Tremendous pain. Not all of us but it just makes it seem as though women are the ones that can bear the worst pain and men cannot. They would just give up. Amen, we really have to read the Bible for all understanding and true knowledge. The story of Jesus Christ birth is from the Heavenly❤️🙏 Father. God used Mary and Joseph for Jesus Christ coming to the earth. If we go back the fourteenth generation, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob also David even pass that was some kin to Joseph, Jesus Christ earthly father. An angel spoke to Joseph that Mary will conceive a baby by Holy Spirit name Him Jesus Christ. This will be God’s son Jesus. Mary and Joseph was the Jesus earthly parents, they were used by God in mighty way. Pastor Todd seem to make about what you were explaining it. That can really mislead people especially the ones who don’t know the entire story of Jesus birth. I see what he saying, although it can confuse those who still learning. Mike needs to be careful.
