Positive attitude? stating you have an 80% of wrecking ? once again her head is not in the game. If you start a race or any sport thinking you have an 80% of failure you will fail 100%.

She needs a mental coach to get her head in the game for example guys larson, bush, stewart race anything with wheels non stop and all of it helps them which their records validate. She needs to focus 24/7 is she wants to remain in the sport. She has shown flashes of speed and racecraft however it needs to be the norm not the exception. Yes all racers get collected in accidents as the wrong place not their fault however when it happens over and over something is very wrong and its not the equipment

Forgot to mention, my daughter was in the suite next to the one you were in at the Clash. I asked her via text to go in and ask for an autograph. Sadly, I taught her well since I was around other pro sports people as she was growing up. She's now 23, "Dad, you taught me that they (sports celebs) are people first. You taught me not to do things like that if they are on "personal" time. She's watching the race therefore on personal time." I couldn't argue with her.

This is exactly what I did!!! I had my daughter asleep in her room and I woke the poor thing up. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds....I'm just going to have to start watching races farther away from my kiddo's room

She never should have been that far back going into the pits in 4th place!! You reap what you sow and she came out primed for a "wreck fest"..... She also needs to learn how to get to the bumper of the truck in front of her.....she was nowhere near as close as she needed to be to do some pushing......hopefully that will come the rest of the year as she gets used to an actual competitive truck!!!

Having a great team, truck, and equipment made a big difference for Hailie. She was up front and charged to a 4th place finish in stage 1. Now I understand the frustration of truck racing. Stage 2 begins and they're racing like goobers. If you're on lap 26 of 100, you don't race like it's lap 96. Overall, it appears like Hailie will have a great season with Thorsports.

Thanks for sharing! I'm as disappointed as you are that you crashed out and finished 35th, but you had an amazing run going (finishing 4th in Stage 1). The fact that Haillie Deegan has so much stacked against her like men having faster reaction times, men having faster imaging processing, faster reflexes, and the strength to take hits proves that Haillie worked extremely hard to get to where she is. It was not just handed to her. An average girl can't do this without lots of work compared to a man. It's not sexism bigotry or misogyny it's just facts. Men and women are built differently and for her to overcome those shortcomings and do this good in racing is very inspiring, especially for little girls who come across her. You don't see many women go into sports dominated by men and do this good. It's usually men who go into women sports pretending to be girls and winning which is unfair to women. Keep pushing Hailie we are routing for you!

Hailie, I think you did well, despite crashing out early. I think you could've gotten a Top 15 or a Top 10. Plus, next is Las Vegas. You did well in the SHR-backed SS-GreenLight Racing #07 car in the Xfinity Series. If you can do what you did in Xfinity last year, but in the Truck Series, you could get another Top 10. I'd like to see you have some more select starts in the Xfinity Series, as well. However, remember this: "No matter how much or how little experience you have, you will have trouble dodging incidents. Those incidents, however, can be used to avoid wrecks a bit easier with the right amount of practice and having the right people around you".
