Darnell needed validation from these women who needed him. A shy girl, a single Mom, and semi desperate women. He lied to them to get validation. Mia was self sufficient and hardworking. Although she truly cares for him she wasn't not going to date. She was not waiting. Once Darnell realizes he truly loved Mia his transformation so rapidly he had too many loose ends. The worst was Broken Brandy and she was dangerous
