A masculine *AMEN* to your answer about effeminate men, David! When I was about 20, I heard a tape recording of my voice, and I was horrified. (Youngsters, in those days there were not 200 million video cameras in the USA.) I was raised by my mom, and my voice reflected that. So I decided to work on that. For the next few months, I concentrated on being more masculine every time I opened my mouth. After a few months, it came naturally.

Pastor Guzik. Thank you so much for all the work you do. Your Enduring Word Commentary on the BLB app is a blessing to me and illuminates scripture in a way that I have never know before. I also appreciate the way you respond to complex questions with love, and humility - while still holding to biblical truths. As far as deconstruction and effeminate/flamboyant (gender confusion), I feel the Christian approach should be the same ...LISTEN first, hear them out !... Engage in a healthy spirit-led discourse that will lead the person back to biblical truths. Christians should also understand that there is a difference between deconstruction and reconstruction. Although, they share some of the same paths; the goals, objectives and outcomes are very different. They are not one in the same. Unfortunately, many Christians do not understand this and make the mistake of accusing reconstructing Christians of deconstructing (this happened to me). Whatever the case, the worst thing you can do to people who fall into any of these categories is not listen or tell them their thought processes lack any merit (except in the case of blatant prideful heresy). When a Christian responds this way it only increases the person's bitterness towards the church and catapults them further away from Christ. This is not what we should be doing. Instead, we should listen as a good apologist would; then preach the truth in love - holding to biblical truths, but doing so in a way offers a remedy and is seasoned with love, grace and mercy. This is the example that Jesus modeled for us.

😂 so , the guy who said “judge not lest ye be judged” is judging us, yet I can’t judge his veracity. 😂 I left Christianity 30 years ago and it’s good to see it’s still as contradictory, and as ad hoc as it ever was.

With regard to the rejoicing in the downfall of one's enemies: It's probably a good starting point to first establish who could be your enemy. Given that our fight is not against flesh and blood, this might be a qualifier to who gets put in that category of enemy. Another perhaps would be to remember that we are to bless and not curse these enemies. Even Angels dont curse demons, but hand it over to God to do the rebuking. All the while , however we act or react, we are to be bearing "Much Fruit" and demonstrating that we are His. These fruit as we know are named in Galatians 5 and are part now of our new nature, if in fact we are new creations and not merely believers. ( The devil believes after all ... but ) It's probably this very point that is at the root of our whole life in Christ. Are we mere believers, like the 12 disciples were prior to Jesus' death and resurection.. or are we new creations as the 11 disciples were after pentecost ? Certainly there's distinctions that Jesus points out before his act of sacrifice and resurection were to create a supernatural doorway for mankind. He mentions that even the least in the kingdom of God would be greater than John the Baptist and John was even greater than Moses who had a face to face relationship with God. And Paul, writing to "new creations" is keen to make them aware of what they now have and are in Christ ( Eph 1: 18). And as we make our chioces, we might be mindful of the fact that the devil prowls around us seeing who he may devour. I suspect that he depends on us making poor choices as a starting point to that devouring. ......... :)

'Deconstructing' can be just a supercilious way of saying 'backsliding.' No one stops being a disciple of Jesus because of intellectual reasons. They forsake the Savior because they want to sin. BTW, some of the most intelligent people of the past 2000 years have been Christ-followers. And there's more evidence for the veracity of the Bible today than since the time when the New Testament was written. So don't give me that "I was a devout Christian, but later I found it hard to believe." Either you were not really saved, or else you were and you decided you'd rather sin. Just like many examples of backsliders in the Bible. Again, some of the most intelligent people of the past 2000 years have been Christ-followers. And it's also true that some of the most intelligent people of the past 2000 years have rejected Christianity. God did not make it about intellect. He made it about repentance, faith, surrender, and love.

Should Christian women have their head covered? If so when and why?
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord Жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah, There is no universal command in the New Testament that says that women should cover their heads. However, there many be certain situations and cultures where offense might be taken of a woman had her head uncovered. In that case, for the sake of those around her, a Christian woman ought to cover her head, not because it is a universal command, but because it is culturally appropriate. I hope that this helps.
