I found that set yesterday on a quick trip[ to Walmart. I got both Chevy trucks, the yellow Ram and the red wagon.

Found this at a Walmart the town over. Found 2 ultra reds, the Silverado and Kingswood, both Version A. Packaging seemed a bit weird at first cause it didn’t look like the normal assortment, then noticed the quip about it. Very interesting. The signs were hard to see at first. The interior is chrome, exterior is obviously flake red and the base is white. Atleast the ones I found. No white tires.

Interesting that we get Release 4 way before Release 3 in 2024. 2006 Chevy Silverado SS could use some better headlight tampos, otherwise it's a nice model and my favorite here. The 2023 Ram Rebel looks good as well, especially the yellow one. The 1970 Chevy Kingswood Estate looks nice too (the red one in particular), although i feel like i've seen this model many times before and maybe that's the reason i'm not too excited for it. Good release overall, thanks for showing these in detail.

This was a weird set for me because the wagons from 2023 and 2024 are both release 4 but the 2024 set said special edition. I thought they were both 2023 until i looked them up on ebay, the ultra reds have normal tires but the windows are tinted red

Waiting to find them here. Local dealer ordered each car individually for me before we knew how these were to come out. The two trucks were supposed to be in R2 but for whatever reason they got pulled. No idea what the plan for the wagons was. Also their IG post said these weren't supposed to hit until next month. So really no idea what the hell is going on. Really wish Round 2 would explain what is going on.

Yeah definitely some weird production/shipping issues. Those trucks were pulled from R2 i thought because they were going to cause that release to be delayed and now we see them before R2... so yeah real weird.

I've got the 2 wagons, but love that yellow Ram Rebel. Hopefully I can find it. Is it me or does the illustration on the wagons look like a 66 front end even though they're 70s?

Not sure they're shipping as a 3-car case. I pre-ordered all six from AW. the wagons are still on pre-order status while the trucks are ready to ship. of course my order won't ship until the wagons move out of pre-order status but because of that it wouldn't make sense that they come in a case together. maybe i'm wrong tho! regardless, it always sucks to pre-order castings from AW and then wait for a few weeks to get them while everyone and their mom is finding them on the pegs or thru various hobby dealers. i was very lucky tho and grabbed an UR wagon off an e-commerce site for less than $15 shipped. the seller didn't realize what they had.

I recently picked up the latest 7-Eleven set, 2020 crew cab F150 and a 2010 Corvette Z06. I didn't find the Ultra Reds of them I'm not about to run around to all the 7-Elevens around here looking for them. I'm not really a fan of modern pick up trucks, they're just too massive and expensive, most only come as crew cabs now with mini beds which is totally useless to me so I don't care for their diecast counterparts either. Love those Chevy wagons.

The 1970 Chevy Kingswood Estate station wagons are the only cars I liked from ‘24. ‘20s have been quite boring because we need many more 60s and 70s cars in 1/64. Keep seeing the same cars over and over, but I just read that AW 1/64 is going to make another Chevy II Nova station wagon. They’re gonna make the 1965s. That’s okay, and I’ll get one, but not a new car/tool. How I wish to hell they make more classic cars, vintage muscle because they need some new cars.

Release 1 Chevy cat eye was not easy to find I have seen them only once since they came out.

To hobby dealers they are all available in straight packs. So 3k toys would get all separate cases of each one.

On a side note, the fact that you can see large yellow bits behind the wheels of the RAM Rebel is very off-putting to me. It is ok in a Hot Wheels or Matchbox model. On a premium casting, from a company that prides itself on accuracy, this is very disappointing.

For less than $6.00 I think those are excellent value diecasts. I am happy with the level of detail and they are keeping the price low. If they had to give up something, in order to get the headlights better then give up the opening bed or opening hood.

The wheels of the 2023 RAM Rebel in yellow look too small. I think that the one´s in the moon´s color look a little bit bigger. I agree with you about the lights. Maybe AW shoud improve the front and rear lights with plastic, separated pìeces instead of tampos.

2024 has been a very "meh" year for Autoworld so far. Barely any mentions in the past few Round2 monthly updates. Sets reduced to 3 cars. What is going on?
