I'm just back! A thick belt of cabins around the national park, and you can't camp along the Scenic Road, as all over is toilet paper. But inside the park there's fantastic! I might like the nearby Einunndalen Valley more though, as there are no cabins and few tourists. Eastern Rondane is the motive of our National Painting, I love it!

Its nice to see Rondane again. I have been up on the top in the background. It is Veslesmeden 2015m at 6:00. I was also up at Stor-ronden 2138m. on the other side of Rondvatnet. Both are fairly easy to access as a beginner. But as always you should be prepared because the weather can turn bad very fast.

Wow! Beautiful views Bjorn! It looks like the Tundra of higher elevation here in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. I am surprised there are no trees/forest there at 2,000 meters/6,500 feet elevation - our mountains at that altitude are full of evergreen forests, but The Tundra is past the tree line. Is that area maybe a glacial table? Geological prehistoric fossil ground? So cool to see!! Thank you for bringing us on this adventure with you! 👍🤠🏔🏕
@musicmaker16175 ай бұрын
With the higher latitude the tree line lowers, until there are no tree way up noth. Also local wind conditions plays a role for tree grows.

I was wondering if the mountains there were ever forest. In some areas of the world places which once had trees lost them due to being used up or climate changes and erosion taking away the soil. As in Greenland or the desert southwest where the Petrified Forest is. Thanks for the wonderful views. So many rules everywhere, a drone view would have been great!

Thank you for this beautiful video! Greetings from England. In WW2 my father spent a lot of time in Norway. He was in Churchill's Special Operations Exectuve. After the war, he worked in Norway as a guide up at Spiterstulen. When I was a child we went on camping trips there, and I've been back twice as an adult. You mention Jeremiah Johnston: one of my favourite films of all time, along with Local Hero. I don't know if you're familiar with the latter, but it is set in Scotland. I can recommend it! Anyway, enough rambling on by me! Thank you once again for sharing your walks and thoughts.
