Hi Peter, I'm a 21 year old university student studying Building Surveying, I have a big interest in the conservation and renovation of old buildings and I'd like to take a moment to say how much your videos inspire me. You have great content and I always check your channel for updates! Keep up the awesome work! Cheers, Eden.

Thanks - stay close - and any help we can give - ask. Our best surveyors are the younger ones who are willing to learn new things, and dont just wander around with a damp meter.. .any time you need help, shout - peter@heritage-house.org

Really make me think about the traditional way houses were made, and how modern methods totally destroy period properties

great as ever. Be amazing if the builder/architect who tale son the project would also make some vids with specs and thought processes as to the restoration.

Beautiful timber framed house. I’d love to some day rent or even own a gorgeous house like this.

Brilliant, I'd love to see how it progresses. What would you recommend to insulate the single skin brickwork?

I love your videos and logical approach to damp and rot. Fixing the timber will reinstate the structural integrity of the frame, what about the additional weight of the tiled roof? Strengthen the building or replace with thatch?

Great to hear your back. You have been missed.

So all the structural strength is supposed to come from the timbers and the brick is just to keep the wind out?

Never trust a surveyor without a big ol hammer.

Peter-is there any advantage for me to re-plaster Timber lath walls using lime plasters when yo know the householder is just going to seal and paint with modern paints?
