After chaos in the financial markets, members of Truss’s own party began to turn against her.

The ERG (Brexit think tank) Several other groups who all reside at 55 Tufton St. She handpicked her own ministerial staffers from these groups and Emily Carver the head of media for IEA boasted shortly after Truss gained premiership that she was a regular visitor for a decade to these think tanks. Led by donkeys has run another great video on YT. This time exposing these very secretive organisations. These think tanks have destroyed our country. People laugh at her, but she inherited the bulk of this mess from her predecessor. She is by no means faultless in the whole sordid affair, but honestly her term started six feet under.

In a year full of many worthy potential winners, "Bellend of the Year 2022" goes to Liz Truss. She narrowly shaded out Vladmiir Putin, in a competitive field, to claim this years prize. Prize Bellend that is............

Party members who are relics from the empire voted her in
@grassytramtracks
@grassytramtracks 8 ай бұрын
Because the majority of the public didn't elect her. When the prime minister resigns, the next PM is chosen by the party, not the public, and the PM is still a member of parliament. The Conservative party chooses leaders where at first MPs within the party vote in each round where each time the candidate with the least votes is eliminated until it's whittled down to two, at which point members of the party then vote between the two finalists

Can someone briefly explain for me (someone who’s major is not economics) what’s wrong with cutting down taxes?
@Taevas___
@Taevas___ Жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with cutting taxes, but it seems unsensible to fund them by borrowing money. The whole thing didn't seem to be very well thought out, with Truss even admitting they "never laid the groundwork".

@Johnson Roland it is not a he. It is a lady. I see most things she says and use to carry out trades are done by Steve. that is how I know she knows what she is doing. in her technique of over night trading she says she use stop loss and take profit strategy. She trade on her account and it reflects on your own

@Johnson Roland I have referred a few of my friends, she is working with them currently and they have improved greatly with their finances. I have made 153,000 usd since Nov with a capital of 10,000 usd that i initially deposited, she collects her fees after you have made profit and her style is such that I am in control of my funds and to a large extent also what happens on my account

She wasn't cutting taxes for the people. She was cutting them for the wealthy only. The average person would have been £50 better off a year. Anyone earning over £150'000 would have been upto £55'000 better off. No one, not even many wealthy earners agreed to that. It caused a public outcry. She failed or refused to propose a windfall tax on our energy companies who made billions in profit during the pandemic and her decision damaged our economy so bad the Bank of England (independent of government) had to step in and bail out to the tune of 65 billion pounds. That debt will be passed down over time to the next generation. Evidence suggests they deliberately shorted the pound. Disaster economics always makes profit for those wealthy investors. Our pension funds have lost a percentage as a result. 30% in some cases as private shares were affected. Interest rates are threatening our mortgages after the BoE had no choice but to raise the rate. The pound only rose again after emergency plans were instigated by the BoE. Those losses even for a short time will not be recovered. We are still left with a £40 Billion gaping hole in public spending so our health care services/all public services will suffer at the worst time possible with cuts to funding. 7 Million people are waiting for serious operations cancer treatments etc right now. They put a price cap on energy charges but it is still way above what most families can afford to pay. That was another U turn after weeks of ignoring and refusing to install any price cap. And all the while this government have blamed Putin when it was a mess before the war and declining for the 12 years they have been in office. But don't worry. The Tory ministers gave themselves a pay rise last year. Whilst opting for a below inflation rise for nurses.. Is there any chance the US can invade and take our government out? We offer free cups of tea and biscuits.
