I bought a similar-sized P-bass(ish) some years ago and occasionally give my 5-string a rest as tiny basses are always appreciated by the audience. As well as being able to cover a lot more frets, you can also bend up two or three semitones. It's fun to play, looks ridiculous and sounds like a normal bass. Get one, you won't be disappointed!

I’ve been looking for a decent review of this bass for ages, and finally there it is! It looks so much fun to play and I like the fact that you have pointed out some ‘issues’ related to the size of the instrument. It’s on my radar since I’m looking for a travel bass that isn’t too expensive, this looks like a valid option. Thanks!

hey Greg , you finally got the Flight mini bass in. i got the P bass instead. i also had to tune the bridge and string height, a bit.. due to intonation issues…but , all in all, for ~250€ (the Pbass is cheaper) i really liked it. it’s what i needed. i’ll get a TinyBoy later.. PS: don’t know if u remember, jut i’m the guy from Portugal that mentioned these basses to you, a little while back . thanks for the video ;)

What a fun little bass - I hadn't seen it before. Will it fit standard short scale strings? I have to order custom strings from NewTone for my 24.75" scale bass.
@petougao4 ай бұрын
this one is 23", the manufacturer wont tell me which strings they use.
@patticake53114 ай бұрын
@@petougao I guess that means strings have to be ordered custom at Newtone. It would be nice to have an extra short bass that could use regular short scale strings...
@petougao4 ай бұрын
@@patticake5311 there are ramblings how you can just string it with regular bass strings. Cant imagine how that can be ergonomic, setting intonation, tensions...

From what I recall, Flight will get 23"-strings in their shop some time in the future. But since Kala has the 23.5" Solid Body P-Bass, they sell both round- and flatwounds in their online-shop branded as Kala Strings by LaBella. Rachel from Ukulele Wales made some videos about varios models and re-stringing them. You might find this being helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZCQgKh6g5qIrpIsi=P2s2q1TW9WbH0tjt
