A to Z: Colombia becomes a naval SUPERPOWER!

A guide and challenge for Colombia, still dumb, still EXTREME!
Following the steps laid out in this guide will help you to get the achievement "My Ships Don't Lie", however, I attempt to do so without ever building a single capital ship!

Arguably with the newfound performance increase, it doesn't take all that long to build the ships, real-time-wise

i beleive you can still just do dockyard focuses then assing one dockyard for every prodcution lines and make 10 production linesof both carriers and battleships then just wait till like 1944 1945 maybe 1943 1942 if you got the ressources needed and more dockyards anyyways your not gonna get attacked in historical so yeah its just waiting this is the easy boring way you can do the hard fast way of conquering

I am convinced that the Japanese are in a severe need of a mechanic to super quickly erecting a home defence force, like irl, when they planned for an american naval invasion

Another thing you can do to cheese civil wars is have a focus such as Armament Effort almost done, then fire the civil war, then you and the other side complete the focus and you get double the factories.

I wanted to say that it's always a delight hearing you pronouncing geographical locations, division names etc. as close as possible as to what a native speaker would call them. Really shows your dedication and respect to the subject. I mean if you didn't do that it would've been fine too, not everyone is good with languages and foreign phonetics, but nonetheless it's a cool feature of yours and is appreciated.

I remember doing this achievement before you could absorb enemy navy in peace deal. I built dockyards for years and formed gran columbia to have more resources and spaces for dockyards. Still took me till like 1944 i think for the achievemnt to pop.

20:03 That’s because Romania still guaranteed the independence of Greece before they finish the “Appoint Pro-Axis Government” focus, which removes Romania’s guarantee on both Greece and Yugoslavia. Italy declared war on Greece sooner than usual even with historical focuses on, causing Romania to join the war on the side of the Allies. This usually happens to me after Italy loses to Ethiopia really badly.

Ecuador and Peru have been involved in multiple conflicts over how far east Ecuador's eastern borders were supposed to stretch, with a war erupting in 1941 over the dispute. Peru decisively emerged victorious after less than a month of fighting, but the two countries would go to war two more times in 1981 and 1995 before the dispute was finally settled in 1998 after mediation by Brazil, Argentina, and the United States.

I don't know if you tried this but it's more effective to have your ships on convoy escort to defend your troops from submarines during invasions. your ships won't join fights your transports are in when they are on naval invasion support, as they are focused on giving shore bombardment over saving the actual troops. in practice you only need a few heavy ships on invasion support as they are what actually gives you shore bombardment, the rest of the fleet is doing nothing there unless you get ambushed during your invasion by their main fleet, though their main fleet will prioritize actual "battles" first that their submarines are in, over killing your heavy ships. TLDR; you need more than invasion support for your invasions.

Passage through the canal is dependent on ownership of the canal province, but as long as you're not at war with the US then you should be fine to cross. It may also be a special case where whoever owns Panama also has access to the canal, but I haven't done enough with South American countries to know that for sure. If you ever do annex the canal or the Suez, for example, never grant ownership of that province to a puppet. The AI will blow up the canal if enemy units come too near the province, often in situations where the canal itself is not threatened.
