Looking at this game, he could improve his winrate by 10% simply by last hitting creeps in lane. At 6 minutes, he has 16 last hits in a very free lane. He's missing like half of the last hits or more for no reason at all, just misses. With an early vanguard, PL can't play the game, but due to how slow his vanguard timing is, PL hits lvl 6 and can hit the jungle.

Nope wrong analysis, he is missing creeps not because he is randomly missing lasthits but rather because he feels compelled to give PL a worse lane than he wants to farm. He is looking at opportunities to hit PL rather than get farm himself. It is more related to this being his first game for pos 3 antimage and he is even suprised at PL for playing the lane wrong. In many instances, PL wanted to just get a shot at him, where grubby could strike back and every exchange costs PL more than it costs Grubby, but because grubby does not know the hero interaction and the position, he retreats instead, thinking PL might know something more. So I wuld not say that the problem was him being unable to last hit in a free lane but rather him not having enough knowledge of what he has to be doing, which comes with experience.

He's offlane AM not pos 1. It's his job to bully the enemy safelane and give him a bad lane. The only reason why they kinda loss the lane was due to the ES and Sniper's rotations. Core items with his build is Vanguard and Diffusal which is not a hard buy when you're not getting bullied out of the lane and still managing to get a few last hit.

I think even though they were leading there was still a high chance to lose. I agree, Grubby thought of Mjolnir but he didn't. If he had just one farming tool: - he could have sped up his items - better threat to rat the game - backup if WK dies. Lastly I observed, as the match progressed it was like he became position 1 and WK became the position 3.

I dont know but if u got rupture, u can blink out and not got damage by rupture, if u use blink max distance if im not mistaken

i think you have to move a bit first and then blink max distance, it's super risky and if you fail you take tons of damage but it's worth trying if you'd die anyway

I think that the idea of offlane AM is pretty original, but ultimately I don't think the character can really fulfill what you want a 3 to do, which is to be a massive teamfights player from lv6 onwards, or a tank, or even a splitpusher. He's squishy, his skillset doesn't impact teamfights too much (way too item reliant for that), and without a battlefury, you aren't really gonna be splitpushing. I think he's one of the few characters that are really hardlocked by design into being a position 1 hard carry.

Not only did Jenkins do a video for it, but he also has something that is essential for a pos3, which is that no one wants to trade with him. That is the essential thing for a pos3 IMO. Whether you have lots of summons, a tanky presence or very annoying presence, it is all tools to make you be not be tradeable for the enemy team. AM is by default like that if you play him elusive. No one wants to 1v1 due to mana burn, but he is very hard to commit with blink and counterspell. The only problem is that he is squishy, but that can be easily solved with tanky items like this build. I don't agree at all that his kit forces him to be a pos 1. His abilities are all impactful from level 1 as opposed to the heroes that are forced to be pos 1, which have almost all scaling abilities.

I think people that believe AM is a bad pos3 have yet to learn what is a pos3 as a role. Jenkins explains it well in his video, I suggest (kindly) that you watch it to improve your understanding of the game ^^

His farm was underwhelming, battle fury is a staple item for antimage, it is also being made for him to farm faster not just for aoe, so just because he won this game it doesn't matter, he could be afk at base with 0 items and the rest of the team win the game for him. So apart from blind fanboyism some basic game mechanic understanding is important here.
