Your ult usage was superbly hilarious, thank you for the laughs xD Here's a cookie of an old dota fun fact:- Before IO was a hero, it was actually KOTL's ult. KOTL could summon the giant wisp IO, which had the ability to blink around the map and summon priests (the WC3 Human unit) from corpses with no cooldown. The priests would autocast heal and shoot magic projectiles at enemies. It was super OP ofc, so it was removed. But even when you go back further in KOTL's history in dota, he was originally a summoner hero with plenty of summoning abilities (including infinitely splitting water elementals), so it's kind of odd how much the hero has changed over the years up to the point of losing IO, which was the last summoning ability he had available.

DOTA literally took most of its inspiration from warcraft 3, and the game haven't seen much innovation since that, like good action combat and social system updates since then. there is a reason League of Legends had max lvl of 20... so people that played from behind can eventually keep up but this game is too snowball and u can't even surrender. they lucky guys like grubby support the and other youtube money-hungry youtubers. but the game tiself is not thaaat fun like these KZbinrs made it out to be. but that brings them money i guess

This might sound stupid but the counter to Io is to kill him. This hero is super fragile. That's why he is one of the hardest to master because you need to keep the link while staying alive while being targeted by the enemy team. Positioning and communication is everything on this hero.

@@Izigurand that is not necessarily true. First and foremost, we don't want to lose Grubby, don't we? I certainly don't want to have that outcome at all. Second, and this will be game related, Hero like Bristleback exist. There are a few conditions that you need to have if you want to kill Bristleback fast enough: mid ganks maybe, or a counter pick like viper, item and item timing like silver edge or PA shard. Conditions. You don't require any of these conditions to eliminate io as a hero.

sometimes i wish im just worse at dota so that i can play whatever hero i want, at sub 4k if i want to start learning IO its such a hard grind its unbelievable because he is such a specialist hero that is so clutch since you need to manage the support part of the game (wards, lane management) then you need to bait spells while being alive, and then finally you actually play your spell buttons without griefing because you realize you dont play this hero enough. grubby is such an inspiration i love it

Most of the time you are tethered to an ally which will match their boosted movement speed so you don't need boots most of the time.

grubby if you get to see this message of mine, you are just learning to play dota and even more so you have set yourself a very big challenge (to play all the champions from a to z) that is worthy of admiration, nobody but nobody of those who they see you playing dota 2 absolutely no one has done what you do you are doing you are great, no one has been able to understand invoker in 30 min and you have managed to understand it, just play brother and farm a lot and improve your combos it's just that, you already have skill for warcraft, hots and starcraft, friend you are making history as a good player, those who started with dota took at least 3 to 2 years to perfect themselves but you have fully understood it, cheer up brother people just write you keep playing that's why I always admire you brother, so bro finally when you buy an item remember in what minutes you bought it and remember that and try to perfect that by buying it earlier than the previous one

The game is balanced so that if someone heals even a little bit it can make a huge difference... And healing is a premium skill as there are only a handful of Heroes focused on it. And 30k healing is a lot... Oracle is the ultimate cheat code here as his heal does a damage burst initially and starts healing afterwards. So basically he can heal as long as he has mana no matter if you are afk or fighting or jungling. But you'll get there. Awesome stuff Grubby! Keep at it...

My theory on movement speed (or mobility in general) is that it's almost impossible to balance. It increases survivability, it increases lethality, it's just too good. That and vision, but you spam wards anyway :).

what pro players found out, is that relo back can be cancelled with Pudge's well timed hook Edit: 16:40 little advice, dont one click enemy range creep under your tower, it takes 3 tower hits and last hit to kill it.Also i think you tried to pull neutrals to lane, but you don't have to do that when lane is pushing in like that :)

I said this one more time. When playing support, ur gold is the jungle camp. I recommend to practice creep jungle pulling when early game.. harassing and denies is the option for supp... Do not touch the carry gold creep unless situation demand otherwise. Mostly supp heroes is skill depending. Anyway great gameplay grubbis

Again chat so wrong in almost everything, so glad Grubby knows not to listen to them mid-game anymore. Phoenix can be one of the most dominant mid heroes vs certain heroes (AA last hitters) and can safely mid at least ok vs any hero due to her insane range and harass, the fact that phoenix jumped to mid to save IO being forced to it, I can already say was the best move of the game on paper, and I am only 4 min in to the game During the pregame videos and testing, chat gives decent to great input, but mid-game, it is truly about herald/guardian decision making when they are forced to suggest based on changing variables. Hopefully Grubby has some real pros or great players highlighted in chat, so the valid advice will popout from the harmful ones Must be so hard to play, learn and interact eith the chat, all the while trying to filter out the bad advice from affecting your own decision making, Grubby is an absolute beast for doing what he does 👏🤩🥰
