Totally agree with you regarding the off stage shenanigans. That's what makes MV so fun. You can actually reverse disadvantage offstage with the right sequence. It's not impossible as it sometimes feels with other plat fighters.

Will be important to wait and see how the online is firsthand, it's nice to hear it sounds good, but always become sceptical on pre release talk about it for things. And while the game has slowed down A LOT, it looks better for the overall game health compared to the "fast pace" long survivability from before. I still hope 2v2 will get more love, it's felt nonexistent in any other platformer.

Yes, the game depends on which characters are technically fast or slow and Jason is a relatively slow character, but in exchange for his heavy damage

KEEP IN MIND EVERYONE DON'T Take what they say about Netcode as FACT until the game is released Because those Special Snowflakes Are playing a build we all don't have. So the influx of players is very small and controlled. Only listen to players who played the released version and wait for them to confirm if the netcode still holds up FULLY!

I think the issue will revolve around less about the netcode itself but rather to pressure the servers might take from the influx of people coming back, however keep in mind the amount of people coming back to this game is likely less than the influx of people that came to the initial open beta launch.

I think burnout is going to frustrate a lot of returning players. I do hope for a less severe version to be patched cause I used dodge for a lot of mobility. But I do feel once people get used to it, that this will be a positive change.

Let's be honest! The old MVS mechanic was quite TERRIBLE!! The fact that you could LITERALLY dodge anytime you wanted was absolutely trash!! The game was too fast and neurotic somehow and also frustrating especially for casual player, who couldn't have fun challenging player who simply spammed the dodge like crazy. The fact that now you have to carefully think when using the dodge (cause otherwise you will get in burnout state), and also the fighting mechanic itself being a bit slower, I think is the right decision and a good thing. Can't wait to play the game!!

I have no issues with the dodge meter, but the fast movement is what I feel made the game fun. I think movement should be a big factor in determining skill, because without it, the game can definitely end up rewarding more passive players, which can kill a fighting game for me. Still hoping for the best tho

I disagree, the slower gameplay and more limited stamina means that more thought is required and less spam. You can still go fast but there's just a punishment for it if you miss which I'm all about.
