Of course it needs time. The game isn't finished! However, I'm over 20 hours in and this is the most fun I have had gaming in years. I recommend starting out solo and soaking it in. Don't focus on the flaws, just enjoy all the good, and there is so much good. This game is fantastic, just don't expect perfection, because the game isn't finished. Personally, I'm in love.

I don't know that it's so hard to pick up on the lore of the world. Like yes I watched a youtube video in which a games journalist talked about the motivating idea behind the game. But much of the lore can be summarised fairly simply: You live in a world where Europa, Eurasia, and Euruska are locked in a perpetual war with one another. The lore is in the title of the game: The Forever Winter. This is an endless war. It is forever. Probably (god I hope) nobody knows what started it any more, or maybe the conflict goes all the way back to Cain and Abel. The only thing people know is that they must fight to survive. Thus, the lore is the nature of the world itself. The lore is the dystopian hellscape you find yourself in. The lore is the story of destruction and death being told with acts of violence on the battlefield of a desolate broken world. It's some of the best visual storytelling I've ever seen, and I don't think it needs to be cheapened with some text stories about how it started. When you load into a map here, you're already standing in a work of art. Just soak the ambiance in and enjoy the setting. War is hell, no lore required.

Bought it day 1 after putting it to the top of my most wanted list when it was announced many months ago. It is currently very janky, but the visuals are so compelling and jaw-droppingly gorgeous that I really, really, hope they iron out its issues. If they stick with it, and I sincerely hope they do, it could be something truly special.

The current game feels more like a polished proof of concept with graphics as a focus. Give the devs some time to add more things and give certain aspects a bigger purpose, then the game will be way better to enjoy.

I think that's the best I've seen this game described. The gameplay seems very basic and under-developed, leading to feel more Alpha, but the visuals look almost like they belong to a finished product.

Good video. Thank you for being fair and providing informational constructive criticism. The game is definitely jank as hell, but has huge potential and I love it. I agree with pretty much everything you brought up except the maps, I actually like how they are.

This a rare instance where I've bought a game purely on visuals alone. Yeah I think they released a bit too early honestly, I'm having fun, but peoples complaints are valid. People should know you're paying to be a tester more than a player, the game is more in an alpha state right now. Am I glad they released early? Yes, would I recommend this game? Not yet. I recommend people to Wishlist it, the devs are working fast considering they are only 20 and it could develop faster than we think. Right now though, you can see how some aspects would spoil ones impression of the game, but if you're eager it's a solid price. Can't wait until they release the art book for this game, snatching that up immediately when they make it! Nice video, pretty much agree with everything said. See you on the field Scav

I think the game is awesome but i refunded because i wanna wait until a lot of the jank gets ironed out, my biggest gripe was the weird player collision that happens with a lot of parts of the map and on enemy bodies etc. it got me killed a handfull of times lol. Also the squad finder needs some work because 90% of the games you join have afk players in it or theyll just kick you

the sound design of the helicopters is crap, but glad you enjoy the other sound designs.

The very idea of early access pisses me off. Like, I get it. It gives some good indie games out there potential funding to finalize their vision. Otherwise? You’re buying a movie before the editing process or the CGi is finished. The worst part are the great games. Then, you play it unfinished then never really want to go back when it’s in a good spot.

I think it can be good and bad. If done well I think early access can somewhat increase my appreciation of the game since I felt like I watch it grow. More than a full package game. One thing I don't really like is story being added in pieces
