I've got to say, I have always been a huge weather nerd and these people did an outstanding job at putting together this simulator. I pay my respects to these people who help keep us safe from the forces of nature. Going to what they said about "Size doesn't matter", size really doesn't matter. If we go back to the Oklahoma City Tornado in 1999, the tornado wasn't always a huge, scary, wedge tornado. I've seen parts where it was more of a rope tornado or a stovepipe tornado. And yet, that tornado had the strongest tornado winds in history (300+ MPH) and severe damage.

someone born and raised in MO, ive always known tornado safety and ive seen tornado destruction. i always took it for granted until i started college and met people who didnt grow up in tornado alley, and they started panicking when we had severe weather and tornado watches. im glad i was raised with this stuff, because even miles and miles from home, i know what to do and i'm not scared when it happens, and I can give other people advice and comfort. my top advice was make sure you have shoes on, bring something to put over your head if you need to, and probably your phone (1, because most warnings wont be a problem for you and you'll be down there a while, and 2, staying updated in a situation with strangers all around instead of family/friends) people always forget the shoes thing! my family keeps a second pair of cheaper (thicker sole, less comfortable but more safe) shoes in the basement just incase. anything 2-3 and you're at least going to have broken glass to deal with, even if your house is entirely intact.

Jim Cantore is one of those people that LOVES doing his job and you don't see that very often. I love how informative and enthusiastic he was doing this video especially when the car came falling down. I would like to meet Jim sometime. You can just tell by how he is on tv that he is an awesome guy

Absolutely 💯‼️ I totally remember how very excited he became the moment Jim noticed he's witnessing that rare acurrence of snow lightning, Which I myself began being as excited likewise... His athentic enthusiasm & pure passion towards his career in weather is to me honestly fantastic I just love his conviction he brings forth each time. Truly is one of a kind & I most certainly appreciate alongside definitely respect him in doing so. Thank You Jim for giving us the quality years so far!!

I think it'd be a great school educational video, especially for Jr High & High School age kids, in regions known to be high risk for tornados.👍🏼🙂

I love the weather channels explanation of different types of weather. I never understood why hurricanes or flooding could be deadly until I saw one of the videos regarding surges. I've never seen a tornado, hurricane, blizzard, tsunami, or major flooding so if I ever end up in an area that has one, I will understand why it's so important to be aware.

I lived through both of the Moore EF5 tornados. The 1998 Moore tornado I was 5. My mom put a mattress on top of me and my brothers. It was devastating. My grandmas house that we were in was completely destroyed. In 2013 I was at my friends apartment and we heard the sirens. I had no idea what was going on but when I realized how serious it was we took immediate cover
